Your responsibilities will include:

  • Deliver robust and innovative analytical/reporting solutions utilizing S/4 HANA embedded analytics, FIORI & SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) to ensure successful SAP implementations.
  • Interact with both business and technical stakeholders of client companies to gather and analyze their reporting requirements across functional areas and documenting them.
  • Work with cross functional and technical consultants in identifying the required data, designing and documenting the data models and reports ensuring alignment with business requirements and best practices.
  • Design and develop S/4 HANA embedded analytics models, Fiori tiles, SAP Datasphere pipelines & models and development of models and stories in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience with in depth technical understanding, implementing SAP S/4 HANA Embedded Analytics, FIORI & SAP Analytics Cloud for various industry sectors.
  • Develop functional/technical specification documents and design technical solution to support analytical/reporting deliverables
  • Participated in all the aspects of the project life cycle; including gathering requirements, Gap Analysis and blueprinting, system configuration, customization, testing, documenting, deployment and training end-users
  • 2 full cycle implementations of SAP S/4 HANA Embedded Analytics and minimum one implementation of SAP Analytics Cloud in production environment

NVM is hiring fellows for monitoring electoral boards in 2023. Fellows will have the opportunity
to work as a part of a state-wide team watching and understanding the manner in which
elections are conducted across the commonwealth. Positions are available across the state.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
● Monitor electoral boards in up to three localities
● Clear, concise note taking about electoral board meetings
● Preparing written documents summing up any changes or shifts at a meeting
● Communicating clearly when asked about what is happening in your electoral board
meeting
● Be prepared to comment at electoral board meetings as an interested member of the
public and NVM

COMPENSATION:

Job Summary

The Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting is responsible for the preparation of financial reports in accordance with United States (US) Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) as well as the applicable regulations in Canada and the US. The incumbent works with internal stakeholders ensuring timely and accurate preparation of financial information. The role has significant interaction and exposure to senior and executive leadership team.

Main Responsibilities

Internal Reporting

· Prepare account reconciliations by legal company entity, for all corporate general ledger accounts such as revenue and receivables related accounts, investment accounts, environmental liabilities, and various accrued liabilities accounts

· Comply with corporate accounting policies and procedures regarding Systems, Applications and Procedures (SAP) transaction processing

· Prepare and review internal financial reports and presentations with internal stakeholders such as Investor Relations, Taxation, Human Resources, and Financial Planning

· Follow key internal controls over financial reporting and identify potential process improvements to create efficiencies

Projects

· Assist in the accounting review of significant, complex and/or non-routine transactions entered into by the Company, or initiated by the various regulatory bodies in Canada and the US, and communication of financial impacts related thereto to the Managers, Senior Managers, or to senior and executive leadership team when appropriate

· Collaborate on special projects that will have an accounting implication such as acquisitions and divestitures

· Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency or effectiveness of existing processes

External Reporting

· Prepare quarterly and annual reports as required by Canadian Securities Commissions and US Security and Exchange Commission (SEC) for the Company’s consolidated operations

· Compile and maintain month-end checklists and electronic binders, including financial statement disclosure, on designated areas

· Assist other team members during quarterly and annual close process

· Lead the internal controls of the above noted processes in accordance with the requirements of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX)

· Work closely with auditors to provide information and clarification during internal and external audits

· Prepare quarterly and annual reports as required by the Surface Transportation Board (STB) for the Company’s US consolidated railroad companies and the Canadian Transportation Agency (CTA) for the Company’s Canadian consolidated railroad companies

This is a temporary position of a duration of 18 months.

What you’ll do:

  • Stay current on climate disclosure standards, analyze and interpret the requirements and conduct training on the requirements.
  • Develop controls over non-financial climate related data and disclosures.
  • Lead and support the development of climate disclosure related communications included in our annual report, corporate plan and presentations to senior management.
  • Support in project planning to meet the requirements of relevant climate disclosure standards.
  • Provide strategic advice to management on financial results, accounting policies, complex accounting matters, and external audit issues to support financial decision making by management, Audit Committee and Board of Directors.

What you should have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

  • Demonstrated work experience in designing and implementing new accounting policies, assessing impact and writing complete memo on highly complex accounting matters.
  • Demonstrated project management and cross functional team leadership skills and/or participating in such project teams, to manage several ongoing and competing projects.
  • Knowledge of relevant financial, legislative, and regulatory environments.
  • An excellent ability to gather and analyze information, to synthesize key elements and summarize with recommendations.

Job Summary

The Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting is responsible for the preparation of financial reports in accordance with United States (US) Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) as well as the applicable regulations in Canada and the US. The incumbent works with internal stakeholders ensuring timely and accurate preparation of financial information. The role has significant interaction and exposure to senior and executive leadership team.

Main Responsibilities

Internal Reporting

· Prepare account reconciliations by legal company entity, for all corporate general ledger accounts such as revenue and receivables related accounts, investment accounts, environmental liabilities, and various accrued liabilities accounts

· Comply with corporate accounting policies and procedures regarding Systems, Applications and Procedures (SAP) transaction processing

· Prepare and review internal financial reports and presentations with internal stakeholders such as Investor Relations, Taxation, Human Resources, and Financial Planning

· Follow key internal controls over financial reporting and identify potential process improvements to create efficiencies

Projects

· Assist in the accounting review of significant, complex and/or non-routine transactions entered into by the Company, or initiated by the various regulatory bodies in Canada and the US, and communication of financial impacts related thereto to the Managers, Senior Managers, or to senior and executive leadership team when appropriate

· Collaborate on special projects that will have an accounting implication such as acquisitions and divestitures

· Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency or effectiveness of existing processes

External Reporting

· Prepare quarterly and annual reports as required by Canadian Securities Commissions and US Security and Exchange Commission (SEC) for the Company’s consolidated operations

· Compile and maintain month-end checklists and electronic binders, including financial statement disclosure, on designated areas

· Assist other team members during quarterly and annual close process

· Lead the internal controls of the above noted processes in accordance with the requirements of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX)

· Work closely with auditors to provide information and clarification during internal and external audits

· Prepare quarterly and annual reports as required by the Surface Transportation Board (STB) for the Company’s US consolidated railroad companies and the Canadian Transportation Agency (CTA) for the Company’s Canadian consolidated railroad companies

Working Conditions

The role has standard working conditions in an office environment with a regular workweek from Monday to Friday and will currently be eligible to participate in CN’s flexible work from home policy. Due to the nature of the role, the incumbent must be able to meet tight deadlines, handle pressure, and stress.

Experience

· Minimum 3 years of experience within an accounting firm or relevant industry experience

Education/Certification/Designation

About the role

Location: Semi remote (Full time)

Financial Reporting Manager will assist and contribute to the overall operations of corporate accounting and consolidations. Will be involved in accounting operations including all accounting policy, internal controls, external reporting, and any other financial accounting compliance requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Key financial reporting responsibilities include:
  • Month-end & Year-end closure of accounts
  • Ensure data entered and postings made are on-time and accurate across all key areas such as revenue, costs, FX, prepayments, accruals, and all areas covering the P&L and Balance Sheet
  • Detailed review before, during and after each step is completed to ensure the highest level of quality
  • Ensure policies and procedures are followed and that all control steps are completed
  • Ensure accounting treatments are in accordance with GAAP
  • Assisting the Financial Controller with the management of the year-end audit as well as internal audit queries
  • Support the on-going work to develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • Support the identification and delivery of solutions that will enhance and automate existing processes. Challenge the current approach, offer views on improvement, support implementation of those improvements
  • Assisting the Financial Controller & CFO with any other projects as assigned including acquisition and systems integration
  • Key callout, Moniepoint is on a journey to strengthen its financial reporting processes, controls, and team structure, this is a key focus.

Candidate requirements:

  • Qualified accountant with a management accounting background (ACA, CIMA, ACCA)
  • Great communication skills
  • Good commercial awareness
  • Track record of working directly with commercial colleagues
  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting/finance
  • Detail oriented & self-sufficient
  • Excellent Excel skills is a must.
  • FP&A experience (preferred)
