PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Coordinate and manage all aspects required in order to obtain prescription drug coverage for patients;

Coordinate cases with insurance companies, physician’ offices and healthcare professionals in order to maximize reimbursement solutions;

Coordinate documents, submissions and all related paperwork to insurance companies, public/federal funding programs;

Implement Financial Means Test as required in an effort to maximize patient’s prescription drug coverage

Coordinate pharmacy processes required once funding has been obtained; and

Acquire in depth knowledge of public / private and federal funding mechanisms.

Responsible to report all Adverse Events to the assigned units/departments

The Reimbursement Specialist will also be assigned other duties and tasks as required from time to time.

What your background should look like

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Post-secondary education or equivalent in a related discipline;

Minimum of 2 years experience in customer service, in an office setting;

Strong proficiency in Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel);

Professional / courteous / efficient telephone manner;

Proven ability to organize time, set priorities and multi-task in order to meet various competing work deadlines;

Candidate must have strong communication and interpersonal skills;

Ability to work independently and in a team environment;

Attention to detail;

Experience in the healthcare, pharmaceutical or insurance industry is an asset;

Le directeur associé est responsable de l’obtention et la maximisation des opportunités de remboursement pour plusieurs aires thérapeutiques (principalement l’oncologie) au sein du portefeuille de notre entreprise.

Ce rôle élabore des stratégies englobant les évaluations de technologie en santé jusqu’à l’entente de remboursement, y comprenant les assureurs privés et les événements reliés au cycle de vie des produits. Le/la titulaire travaillera en étroite collaboration avec les économistes de la santé, les gestionnaires des prix et des contrats, les gestionnaires des comptes stratégiques en accès et en affaire gouvernementale, les groupes patients, le marketing et les affaires médicales, pour s’aligner, élaborer et exécuter les stratégies. Ce rôle relève du directeur, Accès au marché et stratégie de remboursement.

Responsabilités principales:

Mener une équipe multifonctionnelle dans le développement d’un plan stratégique visant à maximiser le potentiel de remboursement auprès des assureurs publics et privés pour les marques attitrées au portfolio.

Diriger l’élaboration des propositions de valeur et d’abordabilité spécifiques au Canada afin de supporter l’ajout des produits aux formulaires publics, privés et/ou d’hôpitaux le plus rapidement possible et avec un critère de remboursement optimal.

Collaborer avec le gestionnaire de l’économie de la santé et étude des résultats thérapeutiques à l’élaboration des diverses stratégies de soumission (évaluation de technologie en santé), assureurs public provinciaux, assureurs privés, hôpitaux), et préparer les documents de soumission requis.

Diriger l’élaboration de la stratégie pour les négociations avec les payeurs.

Diriger le développement de tactiques d’accès sur le terrain pour maximiser le temps de liste et la couverture.

Maintenir une excellente compréhension, intelligence et expertise concernant les conditions canadiennes élargies de remboursement des médicaments (tendances en matière de politiques, l’agence canadienne des medicaments et des technologies de la sante / l’lnstitut national d’excellence en santé et services sociaux et processus décisionnels provinciaux, etc.).

Participer activement aux rencontres avec les équipes commerciales et médicales afin d’identifier des opportunités de collaboration et de réseautage pour rencontrer les objectifs de marque.

Associate Director, Market Access & Reimbursement Strategy

The Market Access & Reimbursement Strategy Associate Director is accountable for securing and maximizing access opportunities for multiple therapeutic areas (principally oncology) within our company’s portfolio.

This role develops end-to-end strategies from pre-Health Technology Assessment up until Product Licensing Application, including private and product life-cycle events. Cross functional collaboration is key for this role. The incumbent will work closely with Health economics, Pricing, Field Key account managers, Policy, Patient advocacy, Commercial and Medical, to align, strategize and execute. This role reports to the Director, Market Access & Reimbursement Strategy.

Main Responsibilities:

Leads a cross-functional team to develop a thorough strategic plan to develop market access and reimbursement strategies that fully leverage the reimbursement potential of major public and private formularies across Canada for assigned brands in portfolio.

Leads the development of Canadian specific value and affordability propositions to secure the broadest possible and timeliest listings on provincial, federal, hospital and private formularies.

Collaborates with the Health Economics and Outcomes Research manager to design the Health Technology Assessment submission strategy, the provincial submission strategies and the private payer strategy, while also preparing materials necessary for submissions.

Leads the strategy development for negotiations with payers.

Leads the development of access field tactics to maximize timing and coverage.

Maintains a strong understanding, intelligence and expertise of the broader Canadian drug reimbursement environment (Policy trends, the Canadian Agency for Drugs and Technologies in Health, the Institut national d’excellence en santé et services sociaux, and provincial decision-making processes etc.).

Participates in commercial and medical team meetings and identifies opportunities to work collaboratively with cross-functional colleagues to deliver on brand objectives

Supports and leverages the sharing of best practices with Global/Regional Access.

Provides input into the development of an optimal brand pricing strategy, in collaboration with the Pricing, Finance, and Health Economics and Outcomes Research Managers.

Qualifications
