Responsible for custodial duties in parks and related restroom and shelters, turf and horticultural practices in park landscapes and specialty gardens, playgrounds, sports-fields, irrigation, lighting, parking lots and dog parks within assigned region or area of supervision.

Responsible for the selection, supervision, and evaluation of assigned staff; assigns work and ensures appropriate training is provided; investigates complaints; recommends and administers disciplinary actions; handles sensitive personnel matters and recommends grievance responses; exercises full supervision over employees.

Develops and monitors assigned budgets. Manages accounts payable and procurement card processes for the program areas supervised.

Analyzes and evaluates current operational procedures and maintenance programs, develops, and implements short and long-range programs and strategies.

Directs assigned staff and may direct other public works and technical personnel during emergencies such as ice and snow events, major street failures, flooding, windstorms, landslides, and other types of emergencies in parks or rights-of-way areas.

Evaluates completed maintenance activities, repairs, or construction to ensure all work being performed adheres to established standards, policies or regulations.

Serves as a member of the rotational on-call supervisors and managers team that responds to Public.

Works after hours call outs and emergencies.

Qualifications

Experience:
Five years of increasingly responsible experience in field maintenance operations, including two years of supervisory responsibility or four years of responsible lead-worker or experience.

Training:
Equivalent to an Associate Degree in area of responsibility or closely related field.

License or Certificate:
A valid Oregon driver’s license or, the ability to obtain by date of hire; must pass driving
records check and, if hired, maintain a driving record that meets the City’s standard. Oregon law requires that an out-of-state license holder must obtain a valid Oregon license (with appropriate endorsements) within 30 days of becoming domiciled in the state (ORS 803.355).

Oregon Department of Agriculture Public Pesticide License (Category 802 Ornamental & Turf Herbicide) must be obtain within 12 months of employment.

Materials, equipment and practices used in skilled facility maintenance trades.

Equipment and tools used in sewer, street, parking lot and bridge repair, maintenance and construction.

Methods and practices of sidewalk, curb and gutter, catch basin, wheelchair ramp and concrete street construction.

Principles and practices of engineering related to street and storm drainage systems.

Tools, equipment and procedures used in the maintenance and repair of gasoline, diesel and alternative energy powered equipment.

Building operating systems and maintenance techniques.

Pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes and regulations such as commercial driver’s licensing requirements, drug and alcohol testing procedures, and confined space entry techniques.

Sources of information related to program area(s), including recent developments, current literature, expert consultants and professional associations.

Principles of supervision, training and performance evaluation.

Modern office procedures, methods and relevant computer equipment and systems.

Business letter writing and report preparation.

Principles and procedures of record keeping.

Safe work practices.

Work long hours during inclement weather and Public Works emergencies.

Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.

Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.

Serve on-call evenings and weekends and respond to Public Works emergencies when called.

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) will represent Sun Pharmaceutical (SUN) across the United States. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Interact with healthcare providers and thought leaders to communicate and advance the scientific platform as aligned with SUN’s corporate goals and objectives.
  • Communicate complex scientific information and research concepts to HCPs
  • Provide clinical and economic value information to payers and formulary decision makers
  • Identify and train members of SUN’s speakers’ bureau and ensure they are updated on new data
  • Respond to requests for investigator sponsored research (ISS) proposals and transit them into Sun and present the research to Sun for review. They will become the point of contact with the HCPs if ISS research is accepted and funded by Sun
  • Support SUN sponsored research
  • Provide feedback based on field interactions with healthcare providers and Thought Leaders to SUN stakeholders
  • Respond to scientific inquires consistent with the MSL compliance standards,
  • Foster scientific relationships between SUN and Fellows in training
  • Lead and/or participate on committees or project teams that support MSL strategies and tactics as delegated by MSL leadership
  • Seek out opportunities to support the MSL value proposition, achieve results and set an example for others to follow by consistently demonstrating SUN values and leadership attributes
  • Must have the ability to gain customer feedback, uncover business opportunities for SUN and pair customer’s unmet needs with available internal resources.
  • Must be a strong team player who can effectively interface with SUN clinical and commercial personnel, as well as aide in training of SUN staff.
  • Demonstrate tact and professionalism when communicating and interacting with others
  • Comply with all applicable SUN Health Care Compliance SOPs and US regulations

Qualifications

  • Doctorate / Terminal degree required (eg, PharmD, MD, DO, DNP or PhD)
  • Clinical patient experience strongly preferred
  • 1-3 years of clinical, research and/or field medical experience preferred
  • Thorough grasp of the pharmaceutical industry, FDA requirements and PhRMA code
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, team, written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong presentation and education skills; ability to communicate clinical and non-clinical technical information effectively
  • Demonstrated project management ability
  • Travel up to 60-70%
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications
  • Valid driver’s license

The presently-anticipated base compensation pay range for this position is $130,000 to $159,000. Actual base compensation may vary based on a number of factors, including but not limited to geographical location and experience. In addition, this position is part of the Annual Performance Bonus Plan. Employees are eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs which include medical, dental and vision coverage; life insurance; disability insurance; 401(k) savings plan; flexible spending accounts; and the employee assistance program. Job Summary

The Rail Track Maintainer is responsible for inspecting, repairing and replacing rails, ties, switches and ballasts. The role performs outdoors in various types of weather and environmental conditions and ensures a safe working environment.

Major Responsibilities

  • Maintain CN’s train rails, ties, switches and ballasts through inspection, repair, and replacement
  • Maintain various hand tools for assigned work
  • Remove and replace defective ties, rails spikes, and anchors
  • Repair deviations in track surface, alignment, and gauge
  • Install and repair street and railroad crossings and assist in the replacement or repair of items such as power-operated switches and insulated joints
  • Unload ballasts and distribute track material
  • Sort used track material for loading
  • Ensure railroad right-of-way is clear of brush, vegetation, snow and litter
  • Ensure a safe working environment, by following CN’s safety policies and procedures

Working Conditions

  • Shift work, with occasional overtime when necessary
  • Long periods of travel required, including overnight
  • Primarily performed outdoors in various types of weather and environmental conditions
  • Repetitive physical activity
  • Physical: lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 70 pounds occasionally

Requirements

  • Relevant work experience in similar working conditions or regulatory and safety environment
  • Experience operating heavy equipment and machinery
  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
  • Valid driver’s licence
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must meet all medical fitness for duty requirements for the position, including requirements for Safety
  • Ability to work autonomously, adapt to different situations and manage stress
  • Demonstrate good teamwork and maintain positive interactions with others
  • Dedicated to getting the job done while meeting established standards of quality, safety, productivity and client satisfaction

Training

The incumbent receives classroom training over a period of 4 weeks at 40 hours per week. The training is primarily on health and safety rules and basic machine operator procedures. Successful completion of the classroom training is mandatory in order to work as a Rail Track Maintainer.

This position is a unionized position. As such, pay and benefits are governed by the applicable collective agreement.

Role:

The Manager of Government Relations, Canada, will help guide the development, socialization, and execution of a comprehensive, long-term federal, provincial, and local government relations strategy to promote and protect Sysco’s public policy interests. Working closely with the GSC Senior Director of Government Relations, functional and commercial leaders, the GR Manager will help drive the company’s advocacy efforts and build relationships with elected and appointed officials, trade associations, NGOs and allied businesses aimed at achieving public policy outcomes favorable the company’s business objectives.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Assess and prioritize short- and long-term risks and impacts of federal and provincial government actions on Sysco’s business interests.
  • Identify opportunities to remove legislative or regulatory barriers to growth.
  • Evaluate capabilities of all trade association assets, contract lobbyists and affiliate groups to manage issues strategically and effectively.
  • Continually develop and execute an advocacy engagement plan to eliminate or mitigate highest risk issues; seize opportunities to support the business directly; and build an effective network of allies across all jurisdictions to identify future threats and opportunities more proactively.
  • Serve as Sysco’s principal government relations representative with trade associations; serve on and work with association Boards and committees as appropriate; facilitate information exchange/committee involvement/association “fly ins” and other meetings with relevant corporate and field SMEs.
  • Continually develop and execute a strategic relationship-building plan to leverage existing assets, establish relationships with key federal and provincial officials that align with Sysco’s business plans and strategic issue needs and create “champions” for the business.
  • Participate in government officials’ meetings and events and manage Sysco engagement in these meetings (e.g. speaking opportunities for senior executives or SMEs) that advances our public policy priorities.
  • Support local and corporate engagement with public officials (e.g. host facility tours, attend local events).
  • Working cooperatively with operating sites and corporate functional leaders, devise and execute a plan to leverage industry association relationships to promote and protect Sysco’s business interests.
  • Improve knowledge of Sysco’s commitments and sustainability – e.g. economic impact, environmental stewardship, operational efficiency, charitable giving – among public policy leaders, key policy makers and other influential individuals and organizations.
  • Incorporate involvement of public policy leaders in existing corporate engagement activities – e.g. operating site events, local market public relations, company celebrations.
  • Identify and manage “best in class” consultants to advance Sysco’s business priorities and reinforce our reputation as an essential partner in the public policy making process.
  • Work with the Communications team to develop a strategic communications plan to support Sysco’s policy efforts across all jurisdictions.
  • Increase internal exposure and understanding of GR role within Sysco Canada.
  • Engage key industry association communications leaders and public affairs consultants to help drive communications strategies in support of Sysco’s policy objectives.
  • Complies with Sysco’s Food Safety Policy and procedures to ensure food safety, quality and legality requirements are met.
  • Is willing to work safely with minimal environmental impact and understands the importance of reporting all hazards, incidents, and environmental spills immediately to their Supervisor.

Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements (About you):

  • 5+ years working in the Canadian Parliament (including at least 2 years in a policy advisor role), or equivalent private sector experience working for a public affairs firm with direct federal advocacy and engagement.
  • Degree in political science, Business, communications or a related field.
  • Fluency in English & French preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of federal, provincial, and local parliamentary and regulatory process
  • Well-rounded relationships in and around parliamentary policymakers and staff
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Discipline Leads and Engineers

  • Support pursuit and project civil/structural/roadway/hydro and dam engineering design work by
  • Producing simple design calculations and analyses
  • Participating in the development of design deliverables, including collaborating with engineers and designers/drafters
  • Support the development of the multidisciplinary engineering team by

Qualifications
