  • We do not accept applications from those who have previously been dismissed from another force

Please note: re-joiner applicants may be subject to a training needs analysis as required on joining BTP. Depending on the length of time out of service or any notable skills gaps training could be anywhere from 2 to 18 weeks and may include Work-Based Assessment. Training requirements cannot be assessed on a speculative basis and this will be discussed during your induction.

Pay and Benefits:

  • The basic starting salary is £29,751 pro rata rising year-on-year to a maximum of £46,044 pro rota per annum after 5 years.
  • Locations within Inner London attract a regional allowance to reflect the increased cost of living. This includes £7,224 pro rata for Inner London (£4338 London Allowance plus £2,886 London Weighting Allowance) from day 1 of training.

Locations and Hours:

We are currently recruiting part-time Police Officers in Inner London at the following locations: Finsbury Park, Victoria, Kings Cross and Albany House (St James’s Park).

The minimum hours required for this position are 20 hours per week. You’ll be asked to provide your preferred working hours at a later stage in the recruitment process.
