  • Advocate on behalf of the service users and carers to ensure that Trust and Local

Overview

I am working with a business to source an Occupational Health Advisor with Engineering- Heavy experience to work at their site in Lincolnshire.

The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:

  • Provide comprehensive occupational health support to all employees in a manufacturing facility. This includes but is not limited to injury and illness assessments, treatment, and follow-up care.
  • Collaborate with the EHS and local leadership teams to develop, implement, and evaluate occupational health programs, policies, procedures, and wellness programs.
  • Actively participate in achieving the objectives of the EHS team, demonstrating a commitment to environmental health and safety practices and initiatives.
  • Provide treatment, necessary medication, and immunizations.
  • Perform nursing services and timely assessments for employees with injuries and/or illnesses including emergency and urgent care, within established guidelines of Hexcel’s policies and the Nurse Practice Act in the State of Washington.
  • Manage and work with the TPA on the worker’s compensation program Work with Safety to report monthly statistics.
  • Track results for physicals and drug screening results for pre-employment, return to work, random and reasonable suspicion processes.
  • Ensure the Occupational Health Clinic follows Federal and State regulations. Stay up to date with current industry trends and best practices in occupational health nursing.
  • Maintain confidential medical records according to company policy and or State and Federal standards.
  • Perform Audiograms and Respiratory Physicals with respirator fit testing which comply with the OSHA Noise and Respiratory Standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from accredited school.
  • Current valid State of Washington registered nurse license.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in nursing with minimum of 2 years in occupational health nursing.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and guidelines.
  • Experience with claims management for work-related injuries.
  • Previous experience working in a unionized manufacturing environment desired.
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Certification in hearing conservation through the Council of Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation (CAOHC) desired.

The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (C.O.T.A.) is a skilled technical worker who performs direct resident care activities under the clinical supervision of the Occupational Therapist.

Responsibilities

2. Assist the Occupational Therapist when performing tests, evaluations, and complex treatment procedures.
