All NHS 111 call handlers are required to complete a number of NHS Pathways and NHS 111 service specific courses in order to be a licensed operator working within the live service. To train to be a highly trained advisor you will need to be committed to attend one of our training dates.

Training dates:

The full-time programmes runs over a four week period (9:00am-5:00pm) whilst the part-time training runs over a six week period Sat & Sun (9.00am-5.00pm) including Tues, Weds, Thurs (5.00pm-9.30pm)

• Saturday 3rd February 2024 – Part Time
• Monday 5th February – Full Time

Shifts and Rates of Pay:

We can offer evenings/ into nights (18:00-08:00), including weekends.

• £11.48 per hour- daytime and during training
• £14.27 per hour – contractual night rate
• £14.77 per hour – weekend night rate

This will include the following: Registration, Preregistration, insurance verification, Third Party Liability (TPL) screening, Medi-Cal / Medicare eligibility verification, Workers Compensation eligibility, and securing cash deposits (co-pays, deductibles, cash packages). Able to explain information and answer questions. Demonstrates competency skills including the ability to perform job duties and interact with customers with sensitivity and attention to the patient population(s) served.

This is a routine manual labor position associated with the daily cleaning of the medical center. Typical routine duties include, but are not restricted to: cleaning restrooms, removing trash, dusting, damp wiping, spot cleaning, spot mopping, pick up of dry and wet spills, sweeping, vacuuming, cleaning mirrors/glass, making beds, polishing furniture and metal, replenishing paper, soap and plastic supplies.

Responsibilities

• Ancillary Areas: Daily cleaning of one or more of the following areas: Office Space, Waiting Areas and/or Outside Buildings. In high volume areas (particularly all bathrooms and the Emergency Room), cleaning is required two to three times daily.
• Daily Room Cleaning and Discharge Room Cleaning: Daily cleaning of discharge rooms following 10 step cleaning process. May be required to respond immediately to page for discharge cleaning. Terminal cleaning required in rooms for patients who had precautions.
• Floor Care Tech: Dust-mop and sweep floors. Vacuum and bonnet carpet. Strip and refinish floors.
• Scripting, EPIC System, and Communication: Responds to the EPIC system to receive tasks. Uses phone to update status to indicate if task has been started or completed.
• Trash Removal: Remove, cover and wash all trash containers as designated by the Team Leader.
• Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
• Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.

Qualifications

• Such training and experience as may be gained through training schools, and some experience in performing cleaning work and/or other manual labor experience. Must have the willingness and experience to give exceptional job performance.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

• High School Diploma/GED preferred, willing to consider related experience in lieu of diploma/GED.

Job description: Description :

The coordinator is responsible for managing and supervising activities related to controlled drugs, alcohol and cannabis in accordance with the laws and regulations in force. He is responsible for maintaining, updating and monitoring the management processes in place (inventories, FAT, security, etc.). He is responsible for access to the contents of vaults, cages and alcohol room on the site, inter-site transfers, FAT (transfer authorizations), control of controlled drugs, alcohol and cannabis in production and / or laboratory as well as transfers for destruction. He is responsible for monitoring Import / Export permits and for producing the various reports required by regulations. He participates in audits carried out by regulatory agencies affecting controlled substances.

Responsabilities & Duties

Management of Controlled Products :

• Supervises activities related to controlled substances on site
• Executes and maintains up to date inventory management for controlled substances

• Executes periodic inventory on a regular basis
• Executes controls and verification of inventory Execute investigations in case of discrepancy
• Completes loss/thief report
• Maintains up to date the standard parameters in the used IT tools
• Prepares and maintain documentation associated with controlled drugs such as licenses, authorized personnel, permits, reports, with regulatory authorities
• Prepares and perform follow-ups for import / export permits
• Authorizes and coordinate the shipping / receiving of products in accordance with the authorized capacities.
• Prepares and document shipments for destruction
• Saves and verifies all clients return, complaints and recalls
• Documents controls and updates for approved installations
• Participates in regulatory audits for controlled drugs

Continuous Improvement :

• Monitors, comments on and apply changes associated with regulations.
• Optimizes / Revises processes and tools (SOPs, WIs, tools, guides, etc.) to improve efficiency and eliminate non-added values
• Participates in improvement projects as an expert on controlled substances

• Inventory management and investigation report tools user in Excel
• Health Canada Portal (SSCDL)
• Adobe user
• Opentext Contributor(DMS)
