Job description: Our beloved client has an immediate opportunity for an experienced Senior Cloud DevOps Development Engineer (8+ years) to join our dynamic solutions team involved with supporting the delivery of a large scale, Government of Canada IT modernization and transformation initiative.

Responsibilities:

• Providing technical, architecture, solution oversight to several projects as part of a major business unit, you will lead or perform cloud implementation services; build cloud infrastructure as code capabilities, cloud application build and implementation patterns and pipelines, and leverage cloud management and monitoring capabilities.
• Provide advanced level of skills and expertise to design and deploy cloud solutions, and to develop DevOps governance, principles, and best practices using MS Azure, AWS or other cloud service providers.
• Collaborate with developers and end users to identify and evaluate business requirements and translate them into specific cloud-based architecture and solutions, designing new and enhanced cloud implementation architecture.
• Recommend and develop a framework of processes, practices, patterns and standards pertaining to cloud infrastructure and environments.
• Work with clients and advise them on key cloud implementation impacts and decisions concerning the platform and supporting technologies, from an enterprise perspective.
• Produce technical architectures and business solutions that are modifiable, reliable and scalable.
• Lead and participate in technical reviews.

Must Have Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Cloud DevOps Engineer or Architect overseeing and leading the design and implementations of enterprise level cloud-based solutions.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as Engineer or Architect overseeing and leading the design and/or implementations of DevSecOps.
• Successful delivery of large, complex initiatives across the full SDLC, including experience in:
• Build and deployment of solutions.
• Integration across multiple systems
• Infrastructure as code (Terraform and/or Terragrunt)
• Practical experience working in Microsoft Azure, AWS, or other cloud environments.
• Experience designing and implementing cloud technologies, COTS system integration, and modernization of legacy systems.
• Experience leading technical teams using an agile approach.
• Government of Canada Federal Security Clearance

Nice to have Requirements:

• Able to lead technically through the SDLC (analysis, design, development, build, operation and sustainment) of identified workloads to the Cloud.
• Experience and skills to assure that architectural best practices for agile development.
• Expertise in the development of standards, architectural governance, design patterns and practice.
• Solid experience in designing applications environments in and for the Cloud by translating requirements into scalable solutions and infrastructure designs.
• Exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

Job Description Serve as a trusted advisor to the federal government by providing strategic guidance focused on a large multi-site and multi-channel contact center modernization. Develop and present detailed CRM transition approach and assess transition feasibility, impacts, and risks. Provide client strategic support to include identification of strategic objectives and priorities, analysis of contact center best practices, and conduct vendor research. Lead and/or support contact center process improvement tasks , which may include facilitating stakeholder interviews and current state and future state analysis. Provide project management support to implement new technologies and/or initiatives. Support the client in addressing strategic and operational changes that impact the client’s technical environment and contact center landscape, (e.g., demographics, legislative mandates, and advancements in technology). Utilize technical knowledge of the systems development life cycle to identify and assess the impact of recommendations in the areas of technology, people and processes. Present findings and recommendations to a senior audience.

Travel Requirements: Flexibility to travel within the DC and Baltimore metro areas

Basic Qualifications:

• Comprehensive understanding of current multi-channel contact center technologies that include CRM applications (Oracle/Siebel, Pega, Salesforce, etc.) and telecom infrastructure (Genesys, Avaya, etc.); contact center operations (work force management, reporting metrics, quality assurance, etc.); and contact center processes (call handling, escalations, etc.)
• Experience leading or supporting large public or private sector multi-channel contact center modernization effort
• Management consulting experience required, with at least 5+ years project management or strategy experience focused on contact centers in public or private sector
• Experience with process improvement analysis (e.g., conducting stakeholder interviews, performing as-is/to-be analysis, development of tactical recommendations)
• Ability to collect requirements and data points from multiple stakeholders and develop process maps to document process flows using Vizio and other diagramming applications
• Understanding of project management methodologies (processes, best practices, tools, and templates)
• 5+ years’ experience working with projects using the Software/Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Experience introducing innovation through proof of concepts and white papers
• Must be a self-starter with the ability to work effectively independently and in team settings
• Independently performs detailed qualitative or quantitative analyses to develop recommendations that address challenging client issues
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and interaction with clients and other teams
• Strong writing (e.g., whitepapers, decks) and presentation skills with a focus on attention to detail

Additional Qualifications:

• Knowledge of current contact center industry trends and current technologies
• Experience briefing clients and senior management on strategic initiatives
• Experience managing and working on multiple concurrent tasks, projects and priorities in a fast paced matrix-managed environment to meet aggressive deadlines

Job Summary:

The candidate shall lead a diverse cross-functional team in El Segundo, CA responsible for the Program engineering activities to include Program Engineering leadership and Systems/Software Engineering. The candidate interfaces directly to Program Management, Customer, Operations, Finance, Quality, Supply Chain and engineering IPT leads. The lead is responsible for technical, cost, quality, and schedule performance of the projects being supported by the team. The position also requires a strong technical understanding of F-18/F-15 or related radar hardware and software operation to effectively manage engineering development efforts of the programs.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

• Ensuring the technical integrity of the B-52 Bomber Modernization Radar System (BMRS) program and that we meet all government requirements.
• Provide technical interface with customers and vendors.
• Provide technical leadership of our System and Software Development activities.
• Promote Digital Transformation, where applicable, to continuously improve our efficiency.
• Responsible for the Cost and Schedule performance (EV) of the programs.
• Directing and coordinating technical activities with Boeing and USAF.
• Developing and presenting technical presentations.
• Meeting contractual performance based metrics.
• Engineering manpower planning to support the program, schedule baseline establishment, and the review of contract deliverables to including Contract/Subcontract Data Requirements Listings. It also includes Earned Value Management System (EVMS) startup activities and the validation of the budgets and associated Task Work Statement within the contract scope and specification requirements.
• Collection and preparation of engineering performance data on the program and reporting this performance to the engineering and program management.

Basic Qualifications:

• Typically requires Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and twelve (12) years of engineering experience.
• Experience including at least two of the following: digital and modern control systems, dynamics, Kalman filter design, Monte Carlo, or signal processing.
• Experience with Matlab, C, C++, and/or Object-Oriented design
• Must have an Active U.S. government issued Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain special access clearance (SAP). U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Extensive technical working knowledge of F-18/F-15 radar systems.
• Excellent customer interface skills and presentation skills
• Ability to conduct analysis, investigations, and consider other technical tasks necessary to evaluate evolving design efforts.
• EVMS Certified
