Position Summary:

The Line Cook is responsible for supporting the culinary team by ensuring prep is completed to the highest standards in a timely manner. They prepare for service by stocking the mise en place, paying attention to proper labeling and storage in order to ensure safe food handling while avoiding wastage.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Sets up and stocks food items and other necessary supplies.
• Prepares food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing sauces.
• Cooks food items by grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and complies with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage.
• Cleans and sanitizes cooking surfaces at the end of the shift.
• Performs inventory checks and completes food storage logs
• Assist with Daily Prep Board
• Ensure proper rotation of products
• Assist where needed in pantry, banqueting, and dish area
• Follow Opening/Closing Procedure List
• Follow the general rules as well as all Health & Safety procedures as outlined in the Horseshoe Resort Health & Safety Policy

Support the line maintenance team on a wide range of regular and ad-hoc initiatives, including coordinating the return to service of aircraft during AOG events and actual hands-on support.
Duties & Responsibilities

Monitor workforce levels and adjust for workload as required.

Ensure that all deferred aircraft defects are handled in accordance with current company policies and procedures.

Ensure that recognized standards of work are carried out by personnel under their supervision.

Review computer based records for vehicle inspections, Maintenance Alert tracking and Pre-Flight Checklists.

Coordinate and supervise the inspection and rectification of defects and the maintenance, repair, modification, overhaul and alteration of all aircraft and aircraft functions.

Ensure that maintenance records are completed according to company policy.

Ensure that maintenance personnel under their supervision have the necessary equipment, facilities and training required to properly accomplish their duties in support of maintenance activities on aircraft and aeronautical products.

Responsible for timekeeping, overtime approvals and labor detail reporting on a shift-by-shift basis.

Responsible for health and safety inspections for all work areas, including vehicles, controlled by the company.

Will assume the role of the Lead, ACA as the need arises.

Utilize the SMS program and adhere to the Safety Policy.

Must be knowledgeable of the provisions set out in the Canadian Aviation Regulations for the proper performance of their duties

Must be knowledgeable on Porter Airlines’ computer based maintenance software, RAAS

The Mental Health Association of Alameda County (MHAAC) is a well-established non-profit organization with long term staff that assists and advocates for people with mental illness and their family members through programs including the Family Education and Resource Center (FERC), the Family Partnership Program (FPP), and Patients’ Rights Advocacy (PRA). Together, these programs assist thousands of people with serious mental illness and their family members every year. We envision a world without stigma where people with mental health challenges and their family members are free to live their best lives. MHAAC’s current budget is around $5 million.

The African American Case Manager/Warm Line Operator (AAFOP CM/WO) responds to calls that come into the dedicated Warm Line for African American families. supporting loved ones living with mental health conditions. The AAFOP CM/WO will utilize a family driven case management model to provide culturally appropriate support in times of crisis. Families will be supported in completing AB1424 forms and services applications/intakes. Families will be provided with resources and referrals to needed services and with self-care support, including co-facilitating a monthly AAFOP Support Group. Case management services will include assistance navigating the county’s behavioral health care system, warm hand-offs to local community services, and advocacy within the Alameda County Behavioral Health Care System and the county’s Forensic, Diversion, and Re-entry systems.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

Under the supervision and guidance of the AAFOP Program Director, the African American Case Manager/Warmline Operator’s duties may include, but are not limited to the following:

• Answer and maintain log of calls into the African American Warmline
• Conduct needs assessment and create family driven care plan when needed
• Provide case management services for family members that offers support and linkages to community resources
• Provides logistical support for AAFOP program workshops and events
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with African American care providers to ensure warm handoffs
• Serve as care coordinator with hospital/clinic staff and other service providers to facilitate the inclusion of culturally sensitive options in care plans for African American clients
• Develop and conduct outreach events that target the African American community outreaching to the community and supporting conversations about mental health and to receive input on community needs and interests in mental health
• Initiates conversations with community leaders about mental health issues, concerns, and needs within the African American community

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Direct personal lived experience as a family caregiver of a loved one who lives with a mental health condition or serious mental illness. Note: education and/or work experience may not be used to meet this requirement
• Bachelors Degree (major in social sciences preferred)
• Minimum 2 years Case Management experience
• Proficiency with MS Office 365 software applications including: Outlook (email), Word (documents), Excel (spreadsheets), and Collaborative Work (Teams)
• Solid written and verbal communication skills and excellent phone manners
• Must have a valid CA drivers license, daily access to a working motor vehicle, maintain legally required auto liability insurance, and have an acceptable motor vehicle report as determined by MHAAC’s insurance broker
• Must be able to provide proof of full Covid-19 vaccination and proof of booster shots (including booster shot for the current Omicron-Eris variants), if eligible
• Must successfully pass a fingerprint background check by CA DOJ and the FBI

ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience supporting clients during crisis events and/or ongoing situations
• Basic understanding of Serious Mental Illness (SMI)
• Familiarity with the Alameda County Behavioral Health Care System
• Experience delivering services using virtual video-based platforms, such as Zoom

HOURS OF WORK: Full-time (40 hours per week), Tuesday through Saturday 12 noon to 8 pm

What are the key responsibilities of the Security First Line Manager role?

As a Security First Line Manager you will play a key role in ensuring the safety and security of the UK’s number one visitor attraction, protecting the Museum, its visitors, staff and collection. Managing a team of Security Officers across the Museum site, you will ensure that the security service is professional and proactive, all while managing operational responsibilities and developing and managing your team.

What might a normal day look like?

You will manage your team in protecting the Museum and engaging with visitors by managing crowds, monitoring required checks or patrolling the Museum to provide a visible presence. This will involve effective planning and coordinating of resources, making operational decisions and managing emergency situations and team performance, all to provide a safe, secure and fulfilling environment for the Museum’s visitors.

The ideal candidate will be a Security Services professional whose skills and experiences are:

• Line and operational management
• Managing safety, security and emergency responsibilities and situations
• Strong communication skills
• Identifying opportunities for improving operational delivery
• Motivating a diverse team

We have roles available on two different working patterns:
