Position Summary:

You are responsible for the delivery and management of technical and integration interactions and will own the most challenging and interesting cases. As a customer facing support expert, you will be solution focused and service oriented to advocate for the customers when working or escalating high priority cases and issues. In this role, it is equally important to accurately communicate system behaviors and next steps internally and externally. We’re looking for someone who understands SaaS environments, the impact of the work they do and how a system like PointClickCare is used. All cases assigned to you will be handled in a professional manner focusing on best customer experience being the goal. NOTE: This role provides both business user functional support and PC/Technical support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop an in-depth understanding of the product and processes to identify trends impacting functionality, availability, capacity, user satisfaction and infrastructure performance.
• As a member of the Customer Support Department, your main area of responsibility will be to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical and integration related issues over the phone or through other electronic interactions
• Work cross-functionally in an effective and professional manner with other departments to manage escalations, communicate root cause, solution and resolve cases and issues
• Document user problems as per SOP, to proactively contribute to the investigation of defects and other issues to prevent re-occurrence.
• Stay abreast of new features, tools and functionalities to maintain product expertise and assist with upskilling of support peers.
• Be available to work between the hours of 8am to 8pm EST weekdays, occasional weekends, and on-call as required.
• Coordinate and execute internal and external meetings to resolve problems.
• Contributing to and helping maintain knowledge base tool

Required Experience:

• Post-secondary education preferably in Information Technology or related field, with 1-2 years of SaaS support experience
• Aptitude for data analysis and interpretation or Quality Assurance experience.
• Experience supporting API’s, Oauth, OpenID, SOAP, REST, JavaScript, SQL, HL7 and XML.
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage customer expectations in an extremely fast paced and high demand environment.
• Strong communication, relationship management, problem solving and documentation skills with attention to detail.
• Experience with AppDynamics, Rhapsody Integration Engine, Laboratory/Radiology/Pharmacy Management Systems is a plus
• Experience with performance monitoring technologies and diagnostic tools
• Experience with Cloud infrastructure or scalable, high performance web applications
• Prior experience using New Relic, DataDog, Sales Force/Service Cloud, Right Answers and PointClickCare is an asset
• 1 -2 years RDBMS experience, preference for SQL Server

About the role
Canadian Blood Services is looking for a regular full-time Application Integration Analyst join our dynamic IT Strategy and Governance team.

The IT Strategy and Governance team designs the direction of technology use within Canadian Blood Services, ensuring it aligns with business objectives. They also establish and enforce policies and frameworks to manage risks, compliance, and resource allocation effectively.

Reporting to the IT Digital Enablement and Application Integration manager, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and testing of application integration as part of the enterprise integration strategy and digital transformation to support the delivery of key technical project deliverables while building a robust innovation capability.

You will be accountable for designing the solution while ensuring consistent, efficient and resilient approach to integration patterns to support the digital transformation program. Cornerstones of the integration strategy include the design, execution, and adherence to the governance as it applies to both internal and external stakeholders need from a data integration perspective. You will work with the architecture team to follow the guidelines on the execution of the technology roadmap to ensure the organization is well positioned for it’s long-term technology needs.

Formula for success

• Capitalizing on your troubleshooting skills, you will troubleshoot, diagnose, and accurately document problems and their probably causes. You will also create and review test plans with product owners.
• Utilizing your knowledge, you will implement application integration between source and destination applications.
• Adhering to robust data governance practices, you will follow and adhere to the robust data governance practices, ensure data quality, integrity, and security across integrated systems.
• Leveraging your collaboration skills, you will work effectively with business stakeholders, solutions architects, and development teams to define integration requirements and create comprehensive integration solutions.
• Utilizing your expertise in integration mechanisms, you will design and oversee the implementation of APIs, microservices, message-based systems, ETL processes and other integration mechanisms.
• Drawing on your active participation, you will contribute to the process of problem definition, solution design and delivery approach based on established integration models and best practice deployments.

Desired education and skills

• Post-secondary level education in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent technical degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized academic institution.
• Minimum 5 years of proven experience as an Application Integration Analyst or in a similar role implementing integration solutions.
• Strong expertise in integration technologies such as API management platforms, ESBs, middleware, microservices architecture, messages queues and ETL tools. Familiarity with cloud integration platforms and hybrid integration scenarios.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate and address integration challenges and strong communications skills (writing and presentation) with wide appeal to varying internal audiences.
• Fluent in any of the following application integration programming frameworks (Azure Integration services, MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Workato).
• Knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to integration and data exchange such as HL7 would be beneficial.
• Experience working with ERP systems preferably SAP, databases, custom software development and business analytics.

Job Summary

Under direction of the Technical Integration Manager, the Expert is responsible for the successful deployment of advanced telecommunications infrastructure, services, applications, and systems using automation frameworks, infrastructure as code and other DevOps methodologies. He/she ensures that all business requirements are met by team members and projects, and contributes to the global evolution of CN’s I&T.

Clients can be from within I&T or direct lines of business. The Expert must connect the dots between application, telecom, infrastructure, and business processes. He/She ensures that the technology delivered is secure, reliable, available, resilient, performant, and aligned with safety standards as per business requirements.

The Expert works with teams and stakeholders across CN and across the industry. To be successful, he/she needs strong influential skills in order to align stakeholders and Integrators with the goals set by CN leadership.

Main Responsibilities

• Lead Telecom integration activities during the planning, build and deploy phases, working closely with Project Managers to ensure successful deliveries
• Contribute to solution designs by identifying the existing capabilities and sharing it with Solution / System Designers
• Estimate the overall solution costs (e.g. telecom, S&C, vendor, infrastructure, development, etc.) and share information with the Project Manager and stakeholders
• Work with Project Managers during the planning phases and identify skillsets and challenges applicable to deployments
• Support and supervise change controls done by less experienced team members
• Lab-test new configurations and software. Feed manufacturers to fix issues
• Investigate incidents through root-cause analysis and propose solutions for remediation
• Develop strong partnerships with Solution / System Designers to provide feedback on deployment challenges/gaps
• Maintains up-to-date technical knowledge in domains relevant his/her to responsibilities.
• Define processes and mechanisms to establish structured system deployment and integration.
• Provide technical guidance to Solution and Systems Specialists and expert advice to all stakeholders.
• Extend existing network automation frameworks to improve velocity of deployments and new version/feature testing

· As required travel to visit field sites and participate to solution deployment working with internal customers/users

Technology Innovation Leadership

· Collaborate with Expert Solution/System Designers / Integrators / Architects to develop new solutions and expose them to stakeholders.

· Interact with vendors to address present and upcoming requirements

· Explore advanced technologies with the potential to improve the efficiency, reliability and security of CN’s Telecom infrastructure, applications, network technologies, and services.

· Continuously assesses technical and deployment challenges and report proposals to upper management

· Lead POC/POT in Lab to test new solutions, configurations, and software

· Investigates incidents through root-cause analysis and propose solutions for remediation

People Leadership

· Engages & lead other technical teams to overview the success of the overall solution delivery

· Provides guidance, training, documentation about the solution and on required deployment tasks to other integrators, testers and operation teams.

· Drives integration decisions that span multiple domains & teams.

· Performs upper management technical presentations.

· Supports and supervises change controls done by less experienced team members.

· Leads activities to transfer new solutions to the Operational Support teams (T2C)

REQUIREMENTS

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, a related field of study

· Very good knowledge of the processes, methodologies, tools and techniques, used for integration and delivery of large information technology systems; including operational technology systems

· 12+ years work experience in roles involving complex hardware/software systems and telecommunications technologies including:

· IP and MPLS networking

· Data center network services

· WAN and SD-WAN

· Wired and Wireless access

· High-availability systems & safety-critical systems

· Firewalls and Cyber Security

· Virtualization and cloud technologies (asset)

· Automation, Scripting and Software Development (asset)

· 7+ years experience in technical leadership roles

· Cisco certification: Associate, Professional or Expert, or other Telecommunications specialties and relevant certifications

· Must have strong Arista and CloudVision experience. Arista AVD experience is an asset

· Comfortable working in all phases of the software development lifecycle as it relates to network configuration and infrastructure as code (Terraform)

· Comfortable developing and automating with Python, Ansible and Terraform.

· Knowledge of DevOps tools and technologies such as CI/CD pipelines and GIT

· Experience with architecture, design and deployment of networks on GCP or other cloud providers

OTHER COMPETENCIES

· Ability to understand complex business operations / needs and how they link to technological solutions that provide practical business value

JOB SUMMARY

The Solution Integrator plays an essential role in the Software Engineering lifecycle, as they are accountable to put in place and deliver the solution envisioned by the architects. As a Solution Integrator, you act as a translator between the different roles within a project, by ensuring a continued understanding of the solution amongst the project team. As a Solution Integrator, your role is responsible for providing comprehensive functional expertise on solutions and advocate usage of re-usable patterns, automation, platforms and make sure enterprise reference architecture is respected. The Solution Integrator defines the interaction between application packages, databases, and middleware systems in terms of the coverage of the business and functional requirements. You have experience in leading a group of functional designers and you are highly focus on team collaboration.

· Collaborate with Business, Architects, Designers (SAP, integration, UX and data), Basis, Security, Transport and Landscape to understand business objectives and purpose of the future application and deliver it

· Understand integration points between, front-end, backend and satellite systems and highlight potential solution delivery risks

· Ideate and identify application components required to deliver the full integrated solution

· Ensure all the pieces of the solution have been thought and that solution respect agreed architecture

· Work closely with all teams involved (including vendors) in defining and planning the delivery of the solution

· Oversee application design activities (including vendors)

· Lead design sessions and overall design decisions

· Review and approve functional documentation by respecting CN methodology standards

· Collaborate with Quality Testing to build-up testing strategy and overall integration testing

· Collaborate with Business and Data Designer to define data conversion strategy

· Ensure consistency of the integrated solution by reviewing and approving solution artifacts

· Manage and mitigate solution and integration delivery risks

· Assist in improving software engineering processes and methods overall

REQUIREMENTS

· Bachelor degree in Computer sciences, Software Engineering or Information technology

· Minimum of 7-12 years of relevant experience in software engineering lifecycle process

· Experience with software development lifecycle process

· Familiar with API Management platforms such as APIGee (preferred), WSO2, SwaggerHub, Mashery or others

· Experience with API concepts and technologies such as REST, JSON, XML, SOAP, YAML, and Swagger

• • Familiarity with tools like Kafka, Mulesoft

· Strong knowledge in technical and functional specifications using flowcharting, sequence diagrams, or any other UML pattern needed.

· Experience in leading a team in the context of a project lifecycle (waterfall and agile/hybrid agile)

· Bilingualism with high proficiency in English (spoken and written)

Lead the design of integrations from point to point systems as well as holistic interchange services rendering effective data quality and dependable exchanges of digital information

Job Qualifications

Here’s what you need:

Workday Integrations Partner Certification

Minimum of 3 years of consulting experience, most recently in a lead role

Minimum of 3 years of hands-on Workday Integrations Leadership experience

Minimum of 3 years of US and/or Global Integrations Operations

Minimum of 3 years of experience in the application of modern integration technologies (EDI, Web Services, XML, XSLT, Java, .Net, middleware)

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years work experience). If Associate’s Degree must have equivalent minimum 6 year work experience.

Bonus points if:

Extensive experience in designer and developer related roles with demonstrated ability to deliver coded integration work to a production environment

Self-starter with proven ability to work within a team-oriented environment

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to adapt to frequent change

Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment Referenceable experience with Excel, Visio, MS Project (or equivalent) and PowerPoint
