The Training Instructor I, PB designs, delivers, and evaluates PB EPIC Ambulatory/ Revenue Operations/Health Information Management (HIM) education and training programs for staff, management and other departments utilizing systems and/or modules to support the strategic goals of the Hackensack Meridian Health (HMH) Network. This includes developing end users system training and developing operational policies. Co-manages all aspects of systems training involving PB EPIC Ambulatory/ Revenue Operations/HIM.

Responsibilities

A day in the life of a Patient Accounting Training Instructor I with Hackensack Meridian Health includes:

  • Coordinates and work closely with Epic Training Expert(s) at Epic headquarters to ensure end user training is developed in accordance to Epic’s timeline for the Network.
  • Develop and implement end users testing scripts loaded into Epic’s Testing System and continue to update them during testing and training which occur pre go-live and post go live for the Network.
  • Performs needs assessments, analyzes results, and identifies training opportunities based on those results for the Network.
  • Develops and designs educational offerings based on needs assessments and/or organizational/departmental requirements for the Network.
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of educational offerings to ensure that knowledge and/or skills learned are being applied on the job and have an impact on staff performance in meeting departmental/organizational goals for the Network.
  • Serves as the Department and IT liaison for the HMH Physician Practices throughout theNetwork.
  • Troubleshoots problems and address questions from end users and providing off-hour support on an as needed basis. Provides off hours go live/upgrade support as requested for the HMH Physician Practices throughout the Network.
  • Reviewing and testing each new release and enhancement; analyzing impact on PB EPIC Ambulatory/Revenue Operations/HIM modules for the Network.
  • Assists by collaborating with IT and Epic in development of reports to support leadership for the HMH Physician Practices throughout the Network.
  • Provide consultative support to HMH Physician Practices throughout theNetwork. as it relates to workflows, policies and procedures when necessary to ensure they are aligned across the HMH Physician Practices throughout the Network.
  • Reviews governmental agency websites for updates and regulatory changes, conducts monthly review sessions with the Physician Billing Revenue Operations/HIM team.
  • Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
  • Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.

Qualifications

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field; or equivalent relevant HMH experience at approximately 3-4 years.
  • Minimum of 2 years of education/training experience.
  • Experience in healthcare related fields.
  • Computer literacy, preferably in Google Suite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills that may include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in a related field.
  • System implementation experience.

Licenses and Certifications Required:

  • Maintain Certification via Annual New Version Training (Epic NVT).
  • Epic Certifications in respective assigned Epic modules within 6 months of hire.
  • Attend Epic’s MST Courses within 1 year of being hired.
  • Successfully pass completion of EPIC assessment within 30 days after Network access granted.

Ensures the efficient daily operation and activity in Care for Newcomer Children Program (CNC),

working collaboratively with the Children’s Services Manager. Implements quality programs for

newcomer children based on the emergent curriculum, in keeping with the YWCA mission,

vision and values while adhering to the YWCA policies and procedures and quality standards, as

well as the regulations of the CMAS Canada.

Qualifications

  • Completion of 2 years’ college in Early Childhood Education or equivalent;
  • Registered with the College of Early Childhood Educators (RECE); maintains registration as

required by the YWCA and provincial standards;

  • Experience in a CNC setting is an asset;
  • Must provide a current Vulnerable Sector Police check or willingness to obtain at own cost;
  • Must provide a TB test, proof of Tetanus (within 10 years) and proof of MMR

immunizations;

  • Ability to bring a feminist, anti-racist/anti-oppressive perspective to work;
  • Must have current Standard First Aid and CPR certificate or willingness to obtain at own

cost;

  • Bilingual English/French or other languages an asset;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Experience using Microsoft Suite including Excel and Word.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Take the lead in meeting CNC Requirements, including the development of policies and

procedures and training opportunities for staff,

  • Report to Children’s Services Manager with any professional development opportunities or

sessions for staff, program budget and purchase items used for CNC activities,

  • Oversee the intake/registration of children, and reporting directly to the Children’s Service

Manager,

  • Maintain accurate and timely records, including registration form, attendance form and

child information form,

  • Develops and implements daily activities that support and promote the development of

newcomer children in short term or combined care programs;

  • Understands programming needs of newcomer children who drop in for care for short

periods of time;

  • Recognizes and understands the issues associated when combined care while caring for

newcomer children on a short and long-term basis, especially issues associated with

transitions and separation;

  • Understands the settlement issues and the concerns of newcomer children and parents;
  • Engages children in activities that support a child-centered approach;
  • Guides and assists children in the development of healthy eating, dressing and toilet habits;
  • Assesses the skills, abilities, interests and needs of children;
  • Discusses newcomer children’s progress or concerns with parents and other staff members;
  • Creates a stimulating and nurturing environment for newcomer children to learn and grow,

ensuring the safety of newcomer children enrolled in the program through direct

supervision;

  • Supports program staff as needed (e.g. staff breaks, programming time, etc.);
  • Ensures CNC space is kept clean and neat, including all activity and program areas, and

common spaces, including toy washing and sanitizing;

  • Maintains confidentiality of child and family data,
  • Understand their duty to report;
  • Monitors children’s development goals and progress through weekly documentation if

applicable;

  • Ensures that written records are accurately documented and maintained including

attendance records, symptoms of ill health, daily CNC logs, etc.;

  • Prepares reports and statistics for Supervisor as required;
  • Complies with the CMAS requirements and YWCA Policies;
  • Understands emerging trends, leading practices, industry professional standards;
  • Supports YWCA Hamilton mission, vision and values;
  • Participates in mandatory organizational and departmental trainings and meetings;
  • Must be able to supervise large groups of children during onsite and offsite excursions such

as field trips and swimming;

  • Must be able to plan and illustrate activities in and on unfamiliar environments and adhere

to CNC Mobile requirement and guidelines. Performs other duties as required.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Works 30 hours per week. May include days, afternoons, evenings based on program needs.
  • Ability to use frequent light to medium physical effort: lifting up to 20 kg (44 lbs.), bending

and stooping;

  • Must be able to work outdoors for at least 2 hours daily year-round; may be exposed to

heat, humidity or cold.

SDSU offers a 4-year Bachelor of Fine Arts in Architecture and a 2-year NAAB accredited Masters of Architecture degree. Architecture has a unique mandate to remain a small program of no more than 220 students, making it one of the smallest architecture programs in the USA working within a fabric of small agrarian and mining cities.

The Adjunct Instructor for American Indian Issues I as subject matter experts in their disciplines, shall assist Haskell Indian Nations University in developing and implementing college-level courses and a limited number of developmental courses for classroom

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate student matriculation in the following outcomes:
  • Completion of associate baccalaureate programs
  • Transfers to other colleges or universities
  • Develop and provide on behalf of Haskell Indian Nations University the following documents in compliance with university guidelines:
  • Course syllabi
  • Assessment and evaluative instruments and the data derived
  • Textbook selection and educational materials for those classes taught
  • Implement curriculum
  • Assist in updating curricula to ensure student learning meets national, state, and local requirements
  • Access software applications/programs to report data for all courses taught with respect to the following:
  • Learning outcomes
  • Assessment outcomes
  • Recommendations for instructional improvement
  • Hold one (1) office hour per 3 credit hour course per week for the following purposes:
  • To answer students’ questions
  • To assist students in completing courses offered
  • Students’ grades are due the Tuesday after finals week
  • Submit grades on forms provided by the university before 4:00 p.m. to the Office of the Vice-President for Academics
  • Attend relevant university-wide and departmental meetings, such as accreditation meetings, assessment meetings, orientation for new faculty, etc., as can be reasonably expected.
  • Administer and return End of the Course Student Evaluations to the respective Dean
  • Adhere to accreditation requirements for Haskell Indian Nations University in the following areas:
  • Academic Policies
  • Other academic requirements
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Master’s, a terminal degree, or an appropriate graduate degree in the subject matter being taught — EXCEPT for Indigenous languages required

We are currently seeking a First Aid and CPR Instructor in the Farmington, CT region. This is a Full-Time position working a variable schedule.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

Responsible to deliver corporate classes to community groups at corporate facilities and/or at community or corporate sites. Responsible to provide high quality instruction per program guidelines, provide the necessary information/reports in a timely manner and properly maintain equipment in their possession.

Perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures and other applicable Federal, State, and local regulations.

The mission of the American Red Cross is to prevent and alleviate human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors. We help increase the preparedness of our communities by offering courses in First Aid, CPR/AED, Babysitter’s Training, Lifeguard Training, Certified Nurse Aid Training, and other certification courses. American Red Cross Training Services instructors are an elite group of professionals who teach valuable lifesaving skills to 12 million people each year in businesses, schools, and communities.

WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE FOR GOOD:

  • Instruction: Teaches Red Cross Training Services instructors within their current certifications to businesses and to the community. Must arrive to teaching site a minimum 30 minutes before class is to begin.
  • Supply Chain/Logistics: Responsible for maintaining, managing, and storing all assigned equipment, including storage at assigned work location and transporting equipment in personal vehicle. Responsible for re-ordering all necessary equipment at least once per month and maintaining and managing an active inventory of supplies at all times. Instructors are responsible for transporting, loading/unloading, carrying and/or lifting equipment as necessary at assigned teaching locations. At conclusion of class, is responsible for the cleaning equipment according to established decontamination guidelines and reporting any maintenance issues to the appropriate logistics staff member.
  • Quality Assurance: Responsible for applying quality assurance and control programs. Integrates quality improvement activities and measures in overall service provision. Ensures that the proper safety measures are in place to protect customers and staff who participate in the training activities.
  • Resource Management: Responsible for efficient and effective use of resources. Adheres to the financial and registration policy regarding unregistered students in Community classes.
  • Communications/Reporting: Engages in regular communications with Training Specialist regarding course updates and latest changes to products/services. Actively submits unavailability requests, as necessary, in Skedulo when not available to be assigned to classes. Submits training activity and other course related records according to standard timelines. Where applicable, training and course-related records must be submitted electronically using the American Red Cross web-based learning center. The instructor is required to use the corporate email account (@Redcross.org) issued to him/her upon hire, for all American Red Cross related correspondence.

Standard Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Pay Information: The salary range for this position is $20.00 an hour Note: that the American Red Cross sets salary ranges aligned to a specific geographic location in which the work is performed. The stated salary range in this posting is an average. The specific salary information will be shared at the time of phone screening based upon your location and qualifications.

Premium Pay and Shift Differentials paid evenings and weekend.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED). Current certification to be an instructor in discipline is desired. Additional training and certification will be provided to qualified candidate after hire through American Red Cross courses. Once certified, the instructor must maintain current basic and instructor level certifications for the courses they have been hired to teach.
  • Experience: Previous experience in education, adult training or service industry preferred. Basic computer and email skills and demonstrated ability to utilize MS Office programs
  • Comfort and experience in using audio-visual technology (computer/LCD, PowerPoint, etc.) for educational delivery.
  • Skills and Abilities: Must have strong presentation abilities and demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate course material in a clear and understandable manner. Customer service orientation. Ability to teach effectively in an adult learning environment.
  • Other: Flexible schedule required during the day, evening, or weekends.
  • Travel: Ability to travel regionally 100%
