About the role
Join the Data Acquisition Team in the Policy sector, in the Senior Analyst, Information Business Systems position. In this role, you’ll provide data services to clients by translating data needs into actionable data requirements by using programming, data manipulation and data governance principles and techniques to store, curate and process data from various sources to make data available to clients.

This is a temporary position of a fixed duration until March 28,2025.

What you’ll do:

• Lead business-as-usual production of various data products and reports (includes production of static data tables in Excel, Power BI dashboards, and flat files for website applications such as the Housing Market Information Portal).
• Perform programming and quantitative analysis services on research or policy issues by accessing internal and external data sources, integrating and reconciling data from alternate sources, analyzing and disseminating results in order to respond to client custom data requests.
• Identify where automation could create more efficient data-related processes and implementing those efficiencies in end-user systems.
• Introduce new – and following existing – quality assurance processes to ensure that all disseminated products contain accurate data and are of high quality.
• Maintain definitions and descriptions of data produced, stored and used by HMI; ensure good process documentation.

What you should have:

Job Position: Information Technology Officer

Job Location: Lekki, Lagos

Position Overview

• As an IT Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing the information technology operations within an organization.
• You will play a key role in managing IT infrastructure, implementing and maintaining systems and software, providing technical support, and ensuring the security and efficiency of the organization’s IT environment.
• Your expertise and leadership will contribute to the overall success and smooth functioning of the company’s technology initiatives.

Responsibilities
IT Infrastructure Management:

• Oversee the organization’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, databases, and other hardware and software systems.
• Evaluate and recommend improvements to the infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
• Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to plan and implement infrastructure upgrades and enhancements.

Systems Implementation and Maintenance:

• Coordinate the implementation of new systems, software, and technologies to meet business needs and improve operational efficiency.
• Manage the maintenance and updates of existing systems and software, ensuring optimal performance and compatibility.
• Conduct regular system audits, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely resolution of technical problems.

IT Security and Data Protection:

• Develop and implement IT security policies, procedures, and protocols to safeguard the organization’s systems, networks, and data.
• Monitor and proactively address potential security threats and vulnerabilities.
• Conduct regular backups of critical data and implement disaster recovery plans.

Technical Support and Training:

• Provide technical support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
• Respond to user inquiries and resolve IT-related problems promptly and effectively.
• Conduct training sessions and create user guides to enhance employees’ understanding and utilization of technology.

Vendor Management:

• Manage relationships with IT vendors, including software providers, hardware suppliers, and service providers.
• Evaluate vendor proposals, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with agreed-upon service level agreements.
• Monitor vendor performance and address any issues or concerns.

IT Budgeting and Resource Planning:

• Assist in developing the IT budget, including cost estimation, resource allocation, and procurement planning.
• Monitor IT expenses and ensure adherence to the budget.
• Stay updated with industry trends and technological advancements, providing recommendations for future IT investments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).
• 2 – 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Proven experience in IT management or a similar role.
• Strong technical knowledge across multiple IT domains, including hardware, software, networking, and security.
• Familiarity with enterprise systems, databases, and cloud technologies.
• Project management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
