Description

• This is a role where you will report directly to the Operations Coordinator. The ideal candidate for this role is someone who possesses exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients.
• Supervise collection agents to recover bad debts from delinquent debtors.
• Daily monitoring of debt portfolio.
• Reporting daily progress against targets to the Operations Coordinator.
• Working with a collection team to contact debtors and pursue payment.
• Any other task that may be assigned by the Lead.

Requirements

• Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in relevant fields
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar domain with at least a year of leadership experience
• Comfortable working with targets
• Great at time management, multitasking and prioritization skills
• Good decision skills
• Problem-solving skills
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
• Strong Analytical skills
• Great communication skill
• Strong commercial leadership skills with proven capability of working in a matrix environment.

Responsibilities

• Review accounts to determine appropriate follow-up action
• Access client’s system to obtain needed information to resolve claims
• Investigate and resolve claims denied due to coverage issues, medical record requests and authorizations
• File appeals on claim denials
• Pull medical records out of EPIC System
• Accurate and timely claims follow-up by assigned payer/s and defined aging criteria to meet or exceed collection targets and minimize timely filing write-offs.
• Performs eligibility and claim status follow-up inquiries utilizing outbound calls to the payer, web link tools and payer websites.
• Effectively documents claim status and next steps in the Practice Management System (PMS) to expedite timely and accurate claims processing. Meets or exceeds established performance targets (productivity and quality) established by the Accounts Receivable (A/R) Supervisor.
• Accurate and timely research of claim denials by assigned payer/s. Works with payer to determine reasons for denials; corrects and reprocesses claims for payment in a timely manner. Proceeds with appeals process as needed. Meets or exceeds established performance targets (productivity and quality) established by the A/R Supervisor.
• Identifies root causes and denial trends and works with the payer Customer Service Department to reprocess claims for payment. Escalates, as needed, to the Accounts Receivable (A/R) Supervisor to address at the payer Provider Representative level as needed.
• Performs accurate and timely write-offs (e.g. no authorization) following identification of uncollectible accounts adhering to IPM CBO policy guidelines.
• Participates in regularly scheduled team meetings sharing denial trends specific to claim requirements to enhance front end claim edits to facilitate first pass resolution. Contributes ideas for work flows and approaches to A/R follow-up tasks to maximize opportunities for performance, process and net revenue collections improvement.
• Effectively prioritize work assignment/s and demonstrate flexibility in assuming payer specific A/R claim follow-up and denial management assigned to another A/R Specialist to ensure the team is meeting or exceeding department goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting with 1-2 years of billing experience in a facility and hospital setting.
• Medical billing experience working with explanation of benefits (EOBs)
• Extensive and current working knowledge of government, managed care and commercial insurances claim submission requirements, reimbursement guidelines, and denial reason codes.
• Experience and working knowledge of UB-04 claim forms.
• Experience with patient billing editor systems.
• Understanding of the entire revenue cycle process.
• Knowledge of Revenue and ICD coding language.
• Knowledge of Managed Care, Medicare and Medicaid billing regulations, HIPAA
• Works well in a fast paced environment
• Preferred knowledge in hospital patient accounting systems, EPIC desired.

The team you would Join:

Sun King’s Global Corporate Risk team identifies, monitor and control the credit risk inherent in the company’s direct to consumer business. The Corporate Risk team works collaboratively with the company’s PAYG Direct Sales, Operations, and Finance teams across multiple countries to maintain the health of the solar energy loan portfolio. The team continuously analyzes sales and customer payment related data and identifies, pilots, and executes new sales, collections, and incentive processes. The Corporate Risk team also ensure the company’s efforts around customer data privacy and consumer protection.

About the role:

We are looking for a hungry, diligent, well organized team member to join our Risk department as an Area Collections Executive. The Employee will drive the efforts and processes related to collections of our PAYG products in the field. They will also give advice and suggestions on how to improve customer payments and satisfaction while ensuring that the company offer matches end-users expectations.

What you would be expected to do:

• Work on regional portfolio and repayment trends and laying down daily, weekly, monthly strategies to drive better collection rates from delinquent customers.
• Conducting mystery market visits to confirm the quality of sales and obtain different insights from different areas to enhance strategic direction to reduce problems of disabled lamps and repayments.
• Providing weekly updates to Sales and Risk management teams on-field interventions performed and results achieved, along with customer insights.
• Designing, piloting, and operationalizing collection processes necessary for ensuring better repayments and customer satisfaction.
• Working with Area Business Managers and Field Sale Executives to repossess products from delinquent customers on cases where direct intervention is required.
• Reporting any cases of product tampering observed in the field through the process and mechanism established by the Risk team.
• Facilitating reporting and actions to be taken against those perpetrating fraudulent practices in the field, such as product tampering, misinformed sales done by FSEs etc., as per the processes laid out by the Risk function.
• Training Agents (Field Sales Executives) on dealing with repossessions and difficult customer collection issues.
• Driving operating rhythm to follow-up with Agents (Field Officers) to ensure they are completing their collection calls and repossession tasks on time.
• Recruiting cash collection centres and set up for the key collection area.

You might be a strong candidate if you:

• Have Bachelor’s degree/Higher Diploma related to Finance, Community Development, Communication, Credit Risk Management or related fields.
• Have at least 1 year of work experience in a similar position with field experience and also with rural customers settlements.
• Are enthusiastic about working in the field to drive collections, resolving issues, and enhancing the customer experience.
• Have strong experience from Microfinance/ Fintech or banking background on Credit Collections debt recovery preferable.
• Are good with numbers,
• Have good communication & people skills
• Have clear thinking/problem-solving ability.
• Are enthusiastic about working with rural customers & resolve customers issues.
• Have excellent issue-tracking and resolution skills.
• Are able to manage multiple tasks at the same time diligently and accurately.
