  • Controlling the electronic access system, including operator lock and unlock of access points and setting lock and unlock schedules. Setting up, modifying, and assigning access levels. Controlling and issuing access cards. Utilizing the computer program to administer the system and generate reports.
  • Receiving all visitors to the Facility, determining the nature of their visits and directing them to the appropriate unit or office. Issuing and receiving visitor passes.
  • Maintaining the data facility for identification cards and photographs.
  • Answering the CCG information line, providing general information to the public pertaining to all facets of the CCG and Department of Fisheries and Oceans
  • Operating the CCG switchboard, including receiving telephone calls for the Facility, directing incoming calls to the appropriate office, recording messages, re-directing calls to other departments and agencies, setting up call forwarding and speed dials.
  • Monitoring telephone assignments and dialling procedures and making updates as necessary.
  • Booking meeting rooms
  • Booking and setting up for videoconferences.
  • Updating the daily Vessel Sitrep.
  • Relieving the Huron and Dallas Gate Commissionaire mid-morning and at noon.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Fluency with Windows XP, MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  • The ability to deal successfully with difficult situations in a firm but calm and friendly manner
  • Must have outstanding attendance and performance feedback from previous Commissionaire employment history.
  • Excellent public relations, conflict resolution and interpersonal skills
  • Must have previous supervisory experience (coaching, training, etc)
  • Must be a Canadian citizen or landed immigrant and have lived in Canada for at least 10 years.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a Level II clearance
  • Must be minimum 19 years of age
  • Must be physically fit and able to stand/walk for long periods at a time.
  • Must be able to work in a range of weather conditions throughout shift.
  • Must possess a valid B.C. security workers license and a valid standard first aid certificate

The BD&L intern will develop an understanding of how our Company originates deals, the elements of search & evaluation, due diligence, and transactions to establish partnerships that enable our Company to have the best global pipeline in the industry.

The BD&L intern will collaborate with Search & Evaluation leads to help identify, evaluate, and execute business development opportunities with a focus on cutting-edge science across different modalities to enhance and expand our Company’s pipeline.

Education:

  • Provide access control, ID checks and regular security foot patrols.
  • Proactively respond to and resolve emergency situations and conflicts.
  • Complete evacuation and emergency response procedures.
  • Communicate problems or concerns to the site supervisor.
  • Possess excellent multi-tasking, problem solving, prioritizing and organizational abilities.
  • Have knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations.
  • Use a cell phone and write incident reports as needed.
  • Perform all duties with high safety standards.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Have or be able to obtain a Government of Canada level II (Secret) security clearance
  • Must have a valid BC Security License
  • Must be physically fit and able to walk patrols.
  • Must be able to work in a range of weather conditions throughout shift.
  • Must be fluent in the English language – written, verbal and reading skills.
  • Have excellent attention to detail and incident report writing skills.
  • Have excellent problem solving skills with an ability to handle stressful situations in a calm manner.

The Role

Join an established and growing company that works almost exclusively with higher education as a Business Development Representative. This position will play a key role in territory development, opportunity identification, qualification and revenue generation of products or services within the Higher Education sector in the U.S. and worldwide. You will identify, profile, engage and penetrate target account bases and drive net new revenue growth for Terminalfour. The Role

Terminalfour are looking for a Server and Support Engineer based on the West Coast to work 9am-5.30pm PST.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys troubleshooting and is passionate about problem solving. You will be working with prestigious clients to solve challenging technical problems in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

You will become an expert in Terminalfour’s industry-leading digital engagement solution for Higher Education as well as gain a thorough knowledge of Server Administration in both Linux and Microsoft Windows, as well as application deployment and configuration strategies.

In this role you will be responsible for supporting our worldwide client base with any issues they may have with their CMS, as well as their server side infrastructure hosting their websites.

As Terminalfour support an international client base, some travel may be necessary.

Duties & Responsibilities

This hands-on technical role offers an ideal opportunity to learn and use a wide range of technologies. The role will specifically involve the following:

Diagnosing server and software issues on platforms maintained by either Terminalfour or our clients

Maintaining the integrity of client systems in the cloud

Recommending technical solutions for a variety of client-led and internal scenarios

Working with our internal development teams to identify and resolve coding issues with our products and associated modules

Implementing server and software configuration changes as required by clients or colleagues

Facilitating technical meetings with clients

Producing internal reports and documentation

Supporting a variety of different systems and platforms

Supporting clients in many locations worldwide

Liaising with third parties when required in order to provide the best client solution to technical issues.

Skills and Experience Required

Experience in web technologies: HTML, JavaScript, CSS, XML.

Comfortable working with (querying, modifying & general administration) of various databases platforms (Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL)

Ideally have knowledge or experience of Apache Tomcat and Java

Proficiency with Linux servers and command line operations is required

Ability to install and configure various software packages in both Linux and Windows server

Awareness of good security practices when working with or configuring servers

Experience with Microsoft IIS or Apache HTTP server

Experience with AWS Management is preferable

Awareness of development principles/software debugging

Analytical mind-set with excellent problem solving capabilities

Flexibility to work outside of standard working hours when required

Ability to write professional documentation

Communicate clearly and concisely both by telephone and in writing

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role
