Electrical Engineer
(Key Roles: Production, Hardware Design, Maintenance/Reliability, Project Controls, or Improvement Engineer)
You will fill one of several technical resource roles where you will provide technical support to plant operating personnel in order to maintain the safe, reliable, and efficient operations. Key responsibilities may include providing technical expertise in areas such as maintenance & reliability as well as power plant production operations and project engineering. Responsibilities may range from power plant operations, process improvements, predictive maintenance, failure analysis, and MCC/Transformer/Switchgear design to electrical instrumentation troubleshooting and problem solving, preventive maintenance, process improvements, safety enhancements, motor control, cost optimization, project management and implementation, equipment design, and new technology implementation.

Civil /Environmental Engineer
(Key Roles: Project Controls or Hardware Design Engineer)
Responsibilities may include project work ranging in size from small plant improvements to design of large new facilities. The civil engineer applies expertise to concrete, structural steel, and site development plans while collaborating with a team of civil engineers and designers to coordinate with other design disciplines, such as construction, procurement, project management, project engineering, project controls, process engineering, and process automation, in order to successfully complete the design of the civil portion of work for capital projects.

Material Science / Metallurgical Engineer
(Key Roles: Maintenance Engineer or Hardware Design Engineer)
Responsibilities may include work ranging in size from small plant material of construction improvements to the metallurgical design of large new facilities. The Material Science/Metallurgical engineer applies expertise in material science to collaborate with facility teams and designers. This engineer also coordinates with other design disciplines, such as construction, procurement, project management, project engineering, project controls, and process engineering, in order to successfully complete the selection of the most effective materials for projects and daily maintenance.

Required Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor or Master Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil/Environmental Engineering or Material Science / Metallurgical Engineering.

Position Overview

As an integral member of the Talent & Culture team, the Campus Recruitment Advisor will help develop current talent attraction strategies and coordinate recruitment initiatives to fill entry-level and intern positions in Toronto for several business units. You will also be responsible for Richter’s brand and image on campus and during events. We are looking for an organised, energetic professional, with proven campus recruitment experience, who can deliver a personalized candidate experience and help attract top talent.

A day in the life

  • Responsible for the execution of full life-cycle campus recruiting
  • Develop and maintain relationships with university career centers and student committees
  • Work with the Talent Acquisition team to establish a consistent recruiting approach for designated schools
  • Attend campus career fairs and events to promote Richter’s employer brand and pro-actively build a talent pipeline
  • Host in-house career days for students and recent graduates by department or field of expertise
  • Collaborate with the marketing department, to properly advertise our brand and events
  • Train internal ambassadors on key messaging and approach for consistency during events
  • Keep abreast of market tendencies and best practices to ensure that Richter remains a top employer of choice amongst students
  • Utilize the applicant tracking system to capture all recruiting and hiring activity
  • Build presence on social media presence on TikTok, Instagram and LinkedIn
  • Assist with administrative duties relevant to specific student programs and designations

About you

  • A minimum of 2-5 years of campus recruitment experience (Professional services firm experience would be considered an important asset)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or other relevant fields
  • Written and verbal fluency in both English and French
  • Proven organisational skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently, supported and collaborating with the TA team
  • Proven experience using a variety of social media platforms
  • Strong computer skills, with an ability to utilize the applicant tracking system
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent relationship management skills
  • Adept at event planning

SALARY: Targeted salary is paid in a lump sum based on contact hours

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under general supervision; will prepare and teach classes in the Computer Programming/Website Design program; evaluate student progress toward goals; participate in advisement activities by meeting with students regularly to discuss progress; and complete class administrative duties, such as attendance reporting; recording of graded assignments in a timely manner; and final grade submission by required deadline.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or closely related field with at least 18 semester hours of computer programming course work;

Three (3) years of in-field work experience required; * Must be able to teach content for one or more of the following courses: HTML, Program design and development, Scripting, Web Graphics, Java, C#, C++, Python, JavaScript, PHP, Mobile Applications

COMPETENCIES:

Skill in developing lesson outlines and materials;

Knowledge of area of assignment;

Skill in presenting subject matter;

Skill in administering tests to evaluate students’ progress;

Skill in the use of computers and job-related software programs;

Effective communication and interpersonal relation skills;

Knowledge of student information systems.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (in addition to minimum and competencies):

· Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or closely related field with at least 18 semester hours of computer programming course work at the graduate level.

· Prior teaching experience in higher education

This position is available at the Hall and Forsyth Lanier Tech campus locations; and day and evening classes available.
