Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Job Responsibilities:

As a successful BCBA with Key Autism Services, you will be conducting initial assessments, reassessments, and write progress reports. Developing and monitoring individualized treatment plans and behavior support plans for life long success. You will have amazing BTs/RBTs to supervise and train to ensure treatment plans are on track. Providing support, instruction, and feedback to families and caregivers with regard to managing challenging behaviors and teaching replacement behaviors through the principles of ABA. Other responsibilities include conducting functional assessments and functional analysis when needed and clinically warranted as well as reviewing program effectiveness, making recommendations, monitoring data, and graph/monitor progress.

What qualifications do I need to join the ATS team?

As part of Achieving True Self, it is the responsibility of the BC and BCBA to conduct various assessments and, based on behavior analytics, design ABA treatment plans for our young clients. BC’s and BCBA’s provide training and supervision to BC’s and BCBA supervisees and our Registered Behavior Technicians and supervises and monitors treatment progress of a client. They can also provide training to parents/guardians and other responsible parties for the client. You will have the ability to collaborate with like minded professionals and opportunities for continuing education to build your knowledge and skills. What qualifications do I need to join the ATS team?

  • 1. PA License as a psychologist, professional counselor, marriage and family therapist, clinical social worker, social worker, or behavior specialist AND 1 of the Following:
  • BCaBA/BCBA Certification
  • Minimum of 1 year of full time experience providing ABA services and 12 credits in ABA
  • Minimum of 1 year full time experience providing ABA under the supervision of a BCBA, AND 40 hours of ABA training
  • An inherent desire to train, supervise and develop new BHTs and RBTs, to help support exceptional clinical outcomes for our kiddos.
  • A valid driver’s license with proof of car insurance and a good driving record is required.
  • New grads are encouraged to apply!

What are the responsibilities of an ATS BC/BCBA?

  • Be able to smile, laugh, have fun, play, be silly, nurture, have compassion, forgive, be present, be open, and make learning fun for your young clients.
  • Be available for sessions in the evenings and after school at least 3 days a week.
  • Ability to start working in a part time role, where needed, as we develop and grow your caseload.

  • Multi-Tier Model: Little Leaves uses an apprentice style model to help up-and-coming and recent BCBAs develop into competent, independent case supervisors.
  • Center based program: Being together in one building means that supervisors can see their clients and BTs more regularly and jump in to provide support as needed. We all enjoy being together as a community where we can collaborate each day! More time with each other, less time in cars!
  • What we do: We provide high quality, critical early intervention programs, based on the principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA). Services are designed to nurture the growth and development of young children with social, behavior, and/or language challenges. Little Leaves provides a range of in-home, at-school, and full day center-based ABA services for children with developmental delays, especially Autism Spectrum Disorders, in Virginia, the DC metro area, the Baltimore metro area, and the South Florida area.

As a BCBA with Little Leaves you will:

Supervising Behavior Analysts manage and oversee the delivery of ABA therapy services to children with developmental delays, especially Autism Spectrum Disorders. Supervising Behavior Analysts perform assessments, develop treatment plans, lead and supervise a team of therapists, train staff, and work with parents and families. BCBA or BCBA-D required.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive behavioral skills assessments
  • Develop individualized ABA treatment plans and programs based on assessment results
  • Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments and develop Behavior Intervention Plans
  • Modify treatment plans and programs as needed based on data-driven decisions
  • Oversee treatment plan implementation and provide clinical supervision to staff
  • Work collaboratively with members of the child’s team, family, and other professionals
  • Provide regular training to families and caregivers
  • Provide initial and ongoing training to therapists
  • Write reports and maintain client records
  • Create materials as needed to support program implementation
  • Provide BCBA Supervision as needed (training and support provided)
  • Ensure internal policies are followed

As a BCBA candidate some of our desired qualifications are:

  • Master’s or doctoral degree in Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, or related field required
  • Board Certification in Behavior Analysis (BCBA or BCBA-D) required
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working with children with a developmental delay, communication disorder and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • Clinical experience conducting assessments using the Assessment of Basic Language and Learning Skills (ABLLS) and/or Verbal Behavior Milestones Assessment and Placement Program (VB-MAPP)
  • Clinical experience developing treatment plans, programs, and materials and monitoring progress
  • Experience, knowledge, and confidence in supervising a staff of therapists, and providing staff training
  • Experience working with and training families
  • Familiarity with Skinner’s verbal operants and Naturalistic teaching procedures
  • Exceptional collaboration skills with colleagues and families
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent time management skills, experience managing a caseload
  • Ability to maintain client confidentiality and adherence to the BACB Code of Ethics
  • Record of success in previous positions as evidenced by excellent references
  • Technologically adept and enthusiastic
