The number of in-patients vary and are currently accommodated in the new purpose-built Acute Adult Inpatient Unit at Hafan Y Coed, University Hospital Llandough and which also has a high care ward where patients may be accommodated if needed.

Cardiff and Vale University Health Board is recognised as a teaching centre of excellence in a wide range of clinical services.
