<p><b>Job description</b>: Carmichael UK are seeking a sub agent to join the A30 project in Cornwall.</p>
<p> <b>POSITION SUMMARY:</b></p>
<p> Reporting to the Pavement Director you will be responsible for ensuring that the surfacing elements of the project are delivered to the correct quality and in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner. Working collaboratively with the wider project team to deliver successful project outcomes.</p>
<p> <b>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:</b></p>
<p> · Lead the pavement interface with key stakeholders including but not limited to earthworks, drainage companies, landowners, local businesses.</p>
<p> · Support the commercial and planning teams with the development of cost forecasts and programmes, developing budgets and monitoring of progress.</p>
<p> · Ensure works are supervised on site and delivered in accordance with the Works Information.</p>
<p> · Delivery of roadworks in line with the programme and the overall project strategy.</p>
<p> · Develop strategies for the delivery of the works.</p>
<p> · Be accountable for the quality of the constructed product.</p>
<p> · Package management of supply chain.</p>
<p> · Manage interactions between the client, stakeholders, delivery partners, designers and on-site team to resolve outstanding design and technical queries.</p>
<p> · Management and review of safe systems of work including RAMS, permits, etc.</p>
<p> · Active participation in project improvement (including innovation, SHE and quality)</p>
<p> · Ensure that records of work done are kept including site diaries, output monitoring, progress reports, quality documentation etc.</p>
<p> · Build effective relationships and develop junior staff.</p>
<p> <b>PERSON SPECIFICATION:</b></p>
<p> · Civil Engineering related qualification (HNC, HND, BSc MSc, BEng, MEng).</p>
<p> · Minimum 10 years’ experience delivering complex projects.</p>
<p> · Site Management Safety Training Scheme SMSTS.</p>
<p> · Other relevant training (preferred includes NRSWA, temporary works co-ordination)</p>
<p> · Good written and oral communication skills.</p>
<p> · The ability to manage and control tasks and lead a team</p>
<p> · Willing to mentor and develop junior staff</p>
<p> Experience in some or all of the following:</p>
<p> Work in environmentally sensitive sites.</p>
<p> SU interface management</p>
<p> £400 per day outside IR35 through ltd company. Must have proof of company<br />
