A three-year-old boy faces severe child abuse at the hands of his stepmother who allegedly fractured his thigh bone with a pestle.
An X user identified as @ikukuomac shared the disturbing account of child abuse in his neighbourhood, somewhere in Enugu state.
According to the post, @ikukuomac was alerted by a neighbour upon returning home from work about the toddler being unable to stand and in immense pain.
The father of the child, who was at work during the incident, was reportedly notified by neighbours and rushed to the Orthopedic Hospital, where his son was receiving treatment for the severe injury.
The eyewitness, a neighbour who allegedly heard the boy’s cries, reportedly intervened by breaking into the house to help the child. He then rushed the toddler to the hospital for urgent medical care, with further treatment being administered at an orthopaedic hospital.
