Job title: Site/Civil Engineer

Job description: Carmichael are recruiting for an experienced Site/Civil Engineer, for our tier one client, working on a large scale Nuclear/Civils project.
Responsibilities will include –
- Set out detailed works as per the contract drawings, ensuring checks are carried out on a regular basis
- Ensure that records are accurate and comply with organisational and legal requirements
- Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise at any time
- Produce procurement schedules for the jobs and liaise with the procurement department to ensure site have adequate resources to complete the tasks
- Produce ITP’s and Task Briefings
- Produce 2 week look ahead, in conjunction with the Site Agent, Site Diaries and Allocation Sheets
- Promote and establish safe working cultures and practices, complying with company procedures and legal obligations
- Endeavour to spot and highlight value engineering opportunities
Requirements for this position –
- Previous experience of setting out on civil engineering projects
- Sound knowledge of construction methods, health and safety, and legal regulations
- Degree/HNC qualified in Civil Engineering
- CSCS card
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with both clients and staff
- Live BPSS security clearance
- TWC/NEBOSH/IOSH/Cable avoidance/First aid/Confined space would be beneficial
- Experience in using AutoCAD and MS Office
