<p><b>Job description</b>: Seven Social Care are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Social Worker to be a part of our Initial Contact Team based in Shropshire, UK.</p>
<p><b>Roles and Responsibilities:</b></p>
<p> 1. To lead the initial assessment of individuals, families, and communities to ascertain their support and care needs.</p>
<p> 2. To design tailored care or support plans addressing individuals&#8217; needs, and ensure these are implemented effectively.</p>
<p> 3. Manage a caseload of complex cases, making recommendations for actions considering the restrictions of timing, costs, and resources.</p>
<p> 4. To cooperate and engage with relevant community organizations and service providers, promoting partnerships in the provision of services.</p>
<p> 5. Provide expert guidance, training and supervision to less experienced social work staff, helping to develop their skills and competencies.</p>
<p> 6. Engage with the individuals, families, and communities, advocating for their rights and ensuring they are aware of their entitlements and available resources.</p>
<p> 7. Maintain comprehensive records and prepare timely reports, while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and data protection policies.</p>
<p> 8. Be responsible for safeguarding children and vulnerable adults, following all policies and legislation related to child protection and adult safeguarding.</p>
<p> Criteria for eligibility:</p>
<p> 1. A Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Social Work (or equivalent), and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) or Social Work England.</p>
<p> 2. Substantial experience in social work, preferably in an initial contact or frontline setting.</p>
<p> 3. Proven expertise in dealing with complex cases and making decisions independently.</p>
<p> 4. Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.</p>
<p> 5. Demonstrated commitment to continuing professional development.</p>
<p> 6. Ability to manage and prioritize workloads in a fast-paced and changing environment.</p>
<p> 7. Full UK Driver&#8217;s license and use of a car.</p>
