<p> An exciting opportunity has arisen within NHS Lanarkshire&#8217;s Occupational Therrapy team for a Senior Health Care Support Worker. Work under the supervision, guidance and support of an Occupational Therapist, assist with the delivery and implementation of occupational therapy treatment programmes. Supervise and instruct patients in designated clinical interventions.</p>
<p> Duties may vary depending on the care group / department or assigned area of work.</p>

<p><b>What we&#8217;ll need you to bring</b></p>
<ul>
<li>SVQ III in healthcare, or working towards, or equivalent experience working within a caring environment/role.</li>
<li>Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary/agency team.</li>
<li>Effective written and verbal communication skills.</li>
<li>Ability to carry out assigned patient care tasks effectively within a busy environment.</li>
<li>Ability to work unsupervised.</li>
<li>To actively participate in the Personal Development Plan process to fulfil the requirements of continuing professional development.</li>
<li>Working knowledge of basic information technology</li>
<li>Valid Full UK driving licence</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Short courses relevant to the area of work</li>
<li>Previous relevant work or volunteer experience in a Health Social Care or Educational environment</li>
<li>Knowledge of and/or activities relevant to the client group</li>
<li>Understanding of the work routines and practices of Occupational Therapy</li>
<li>Ability to use initiative, be flexible and adapt to change</li>
<li>Creative and practical skills</li>
<li>Car driver with valid driving licence</li>
</ul>
