THE JOB
We have an exciting hybrid opportunity within our HR team; the Senior Analyst, Compensation & HR Operations is a blended role that will mainly support compensation and HR operations initiatives. These include projects aimed at building compensation programs, operational support for all aspects of compensation, business process improvement, systems implementations and support and continuous HR service delivery refinement.
Specific to compensation, the Senior Analyst will be responsible for helping to make employee reward recommendations and drive informed decision-making through the analysis of data and statistics. The role will be responsible for actively participating in the planning, design, implementation, and administration of compensation programs. As for HR operations, the Senior Analyst will have oversight across all business processes and ensure they align with the aims of our HR service practices. The role will ensure that our HR systems facilitate the processes needed to drive efficiencies, assure compliance and create the best employee experiences possible. As well, this person will serve as the primary lead/coach for peers within the HR Operations team.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter, takes initiative, is inquisitive, data-driven, analytical, and can see past tactical obstacles in the service of achieving broad objectives.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
HR Operations
- Analyze, design, implement and facilitate global HR business processes; ensure all processes are optimal and standardized
- Assist the Manager, HR Shared Services in ensuring that new markets are centrally supported and adhere to the global employee support template
- Research, analyze and advocate for best central support practices and associated processes
- Support and serve as the lead for new HR systems and vendor implementations
- Architect business cases that drive the need for systems or process changes that aim at helping HR leadership making informed decisions
- Create business requirements for any process configuration changes or implementations, provides success criteria and ensure successful user-acceptance testing
- Lead and champion both internal and external change management related to new systems/business process changes
- Perform data integrity audits out of our HRIS system, Workday to ensure compliance and reporting of people metrics, as well as to help identify process improvement opportunities
- Utilize knowledge and experience with a variety of human resources concepts, practices, and procedures to identify needs and create solutions to support the HR operational needs
- Serve as the coach/primary escalation contact for HR operation team members
Compensation
- In partnership with the Director, Compensation & Reward, support company wide and division-specific procedures and guidelines to ensure compensation programs are internally equitable and externally competitive
- Monitor compensation, skills trends and best practices, formulating recommendations for changes to compensation programs to reflect the most effective practices or to create most efficient processes
- Create compensation metrics and analyze data to assist HR business partners in making informed decisions
- Analyze market data by discipline to identify trends and make recommendations based on insights and observations that help evolve Ticketmaster’s Total Reward programs
- Lead and project manage Ticketmaster’s biannual talent adjustment process
- Develop internal tools through Workday, or other systems that promote HR self-service in connection with benchmarking and compensation data
- Maintain policies that contain compensation topics in line with any changes to compensation programs
- Evaluate external benchmark by job discipline and the internal job leveling framework
- Contribute company data to annual compensation surveys and analyze those results in partnership with the Coordinator, Compensation & Reward
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (or TECHNICAL SKILLS)
- 3+ years of experience in preferably in a Compensation, HR Analytics or HR Systems role
- Must be fluent in English
- Demonstrated experience building strong client relationships using interpersonal and collaborative skills
- Experience in the analyzing, design and implementation of compensation programs
- Strong foundational understanding of key human resources functions, best practices, and concepts including personnel administration, recruiting, performance management, employee development, succession planning, and benefits and compensation administration
- Good working knowledge of broad-based compensation topics such as market pricing, salary structure design and development, job evaluation, and analysis
- Advanced level Microsoft Excel skills required (Vlookups, pivot tables, advanced formulas, macros)
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, mathematical, statistical and problem-solving skills
- Solid understanding of systems workflow, integration, support, testing, data attributes
- Ability to work in a rapidly evolving, fast-paced culture and meet time-critical deadlines
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and data integrity while dealing with confidential information.
- Ability to communicate complex processes while maintaining a professional and courteous manner
- Knowledge of HRIS (Workday or similar) and compensation information systems, preferred
