<p><b>Job Description</b></p>
<ul>
<li>As a Senior Accounting Associate, you will play a crucial role in the financial management of the organization, focusing on financial statements, analysis, budgeting, auditing, forecasting, and relationship management.</li>
<li>The successful candidate will oversee accounting associates, ensure compliance with tax regulations, and present financial information to internal and external stakeholders.</li>
<li>You will report to the Head of Accounting.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Responsibilities</b><br />
 Financial statements and analysis </p>
<ul>
<li>Preparation of monthly financial statements for all the entities.</li>
<li>Preparation of consolidated financial statements for the group.</li>
<li>Supervise the accounting associates in general accounting duties such as processing transactions, reconciliations, and closing the books.</li>
<li>Produce financial analysis and presentations for internal and external stakeholders, including the leadership team, board of directors, investors, and strategic partners.</li>
<li>Ensure tax and statutory compliance (I.e VAT, PAYE) for the group with all government agencies, including FIRS, LIRS, etc.</li>
</ul>
<p> Budgeting, Auditing, and Forecasting: </p>
<ul>
<li>Prepare, consolidate, and monitor annual budgets and forecasts across the group, and report budget performance and variances to management.</li>
<li>Assist in the drafting of the annual operating plan for the business functions and refresh the outlook for the year every quarter by working with the Products, Customer Finance, Marketing, and Growth teams.</li>
<li>Identify, develop, and report on key performance metrics in tailored reports to internal and external stakeholders.</li>
<li>Develop accurate and timely cash flow projections based on historical data, current financial activities, and future business plans.</li>
<li>Manage the year-end reporting and audit functions for the group.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Relationship Management:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Maintain outstanding banking relationships and strategic alliances with vendors and business partners; represent the company to banks, financial partners, institutions, investors, public auditors, and officials.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Requirements</b></p>
<ul>
<li>B.Sc. in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant field.</li>
<li>5-8 years of experience in Accounting.</li>
<li>Experience in financial services.</li>
<li>Demonstrated interest in FinTech or alternative financial services operators, peculiarities, and nuances.</li>
<li>Experience in managing multiple internal and external stakeholders.</li>
<li>Experience in engaging different groups of Regulators</li>
<li>Professional certifications (ACA, ACCA, ICAN, etc.) are desired.</li>
<li>Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite applications (Excel, PowerPoint).</li>
<li>Excellent knowledge of accounting software (Sage, Quickbooks, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.).</li>
