The governors are seeking to appoint a highly organised Administration Assistant to join our busy and dedicated SEND team. The successful candidate will primarily provide first class administrative support to our SENDCO, as well as being a contact point for the team. We invite applications from suitably qualified motivated and enthusiastic candidates.
About the role
The successful candidate will need:
- Suitable and successful experience of working in a busy office, preferably within a school environment, although training will be given.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to multi-task.
- An ability to work with excellent accuracy, detail and a highly systematic approach.
- Competency in numeracy, literacy and ICT, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- A high standard of verbal and written communication, typing and inter-personal skills.
- The ability to fit in and work as part of a successful and busy team.
- To recognise the confidentiality of the role.
Responsibilities include the distribution of key reports to teachers and outside agencies, ensuring SEND records are accurate and up to date and supporting the SENDCO with key administrative tasks, including but not limited to Education & Health Care Plans and referrals. To be considered for the role, it is essential that applicants have a warm personality, a welcoming demeanour and a hands on, active and positive approach to all tasks. This role is a temporary role, initially to 31/12/2024.
