Ruth Kadiri, the family’s eldest child, was born on March 24, 1988, in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria, to Mr Desmond Kadiri’s family. She has a younger sister, Precious Kadiri. She grew up in Lagos’ notoriously harsh Ajegunle area.
Ruth Kadiri went to the University of Lagos to study public communication and Yaba College of Technology to pursue business administration.
Career
Ruth Kadiri began her career in the church and began telling stories throughout high school. Before going to a film audition, she prepared short scripts and stories. Ruth Kadiri’s first audition took place at the renowned Nigerian film studio Wale Adenuga Studios. Ruth Kadiri met Wole Ojo, the owner of a script-writing school, at the Wale Adenuga Studio during a casting call. She became well-known in the Nigerian film business.
Ruth Kadiri made her cinematic debut in Boy’s Cot, alongside prominent Nollywood actors Nonso Diobi, Uche Jombo, Jim Iyke, and Mike Ezuruonye. Ruth has appeared in approximately a hundred films since she first began her career.
