Real Madrid forward Rodrygo Goes is reportedly edging closer to a summer exit, with Spanish media indicating that a final decision on his future is imminent.
The Brazilian’s omission from Sunday’s crucial El Clasico clash has intensified speculation about his standing within the squad.
Despite manager Carlo Ancelotti citing fitness reasons, reports from Marca and Cadena SER suggest otherwise, with both outlets claiming the absence reflected growing doubts over his long-term role, especially under incoming head coach Xabi Alonso.
According to Marca, Real Madrid are prepared to facilitate Rodrygo’s exit should he express uncertainty about his future.
“If he’s not convinced, the club will act,” the report stated, emphasizing that the issue is expected to be resolved within days.
Cadena SER corroborated the situation, stating that a departure is now “expected,” alongside the likely exits of Luka Modric, Lucas Vazquez, and Jesus Vallejo.
The report also pointed out that Alonso’s anticipated tactical switch to a two-forward system built around Vinicius Junior and Kylian Mbappe could drastically limit Rodrygo’s minutes.
