Restaurant & Bar Manager – ARC Restaurant and In-Room Dining
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Restaurant and Bar Manager to join the leadership team for ARC restaurant and In Room Dining outlets at the Fairmont Waterfront. The ideal candidate will be a passionate leader with a proven track record in driving revenue, upholding Forbes and LQA standards, fostering a luxury service culture, and embracing our Food and Beverage mantra that “Everything Matters”. As Restaurant and Bar Manager you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of the hotel’s Venues by overseeing day-to-day operations, developing training programs on delivering exceptional guest experiences, and supporting the overall growth of the establishment.
What you will be doing:
Revenue Generation:
- Contribute ideas and implement innovative strategies to drive revenue and maximize profitability without compromising the guest experience, while collaborating with the marketing team to create enticing promotions and social events that attract new guests and retain loyal patrons
Forbes and Leading Quality Assurance Standards:
- Uphold the highest standards of excellence, as set by Forbes and LQA to consistently deliver world-class dining experiences to our guests ensuring that all aspects of the restaurant, from food quality and presentation to service and ambiance, adhere to Forbes’ criteria for luxury and refinement
- Develop and Implement ongoing training programs to keep the team updated with the latest trends and standards in the culinary and hospitality industry
Team Leadership and Development:
- Train, and mentor a high-performing team of professionals, ensuring a positive and motivating work environment
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to encourage continuous growth and improvement
Sustainability, Health, and Safety Compliance:
- Actively participate in the Fairmont Sustainability Program, and determine department-specific action items
- Maintain strict adherence to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe and clean environment for both guests and staff implementing best practices related to food handling, sanitation, and workplace safety

- Contribute a sense of pride and attention to detail in all aspects of the restaurant’s operation, emphasizing that every detail, no matter how small, contributes to the overall guest experience

Qualifications
Your experience and skills include:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar management role within a luxury restaurant or hotel setting
- Entrepreneurial mindset with strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Proven track record in driving revenue and achieving financial targets
- Understanding of the Forbes and LQA standards and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team
- Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for maintaining high standards in all aspects of the restaurant’s operation
- Ability to work effectively with programs including Microsoft Office, Open Table, Opera and Silverware
- Adept at problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution
- Knowledge of the local culinary scene and trends
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business, or a related field is preferred
