Job description: Corporate Banking is a client facing department who is responsible for marketing, onboarding and ongoing management of the client relationship, providing loan business to the clients as well as promoting ancillary business according to the Bank’s business strategy and risk appetite.
As an Assistant Vice President – UK Corporate, you will participate in the Bank’s Corporate Banking business related to UK corporate clients according to the Bank’s business strategy as well as risk and compliance requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Establish and develop relationships with the Bank’s existing and target corporate customers in the UK Corporate area
- Participate in business marketing activities in the UK Corporate area
- Coordinate inside the Bank and Bank of China (BOC) Group if necessary to provide high quality products and services to the clients
- Prepare business proposal and follow up the whole business approval process of the Bank including approval from Head Office if necessary
- Collaborate with in-house or external lawyers to complete facility documentation process and ensure the agreements are acceptable and protect the Bank’s interest
- Cross sell different corporate banking products including deposit, trade finance, cash management, FX, bond issuance and RMB business
- Carry out general account maintenance duties with clients
- Implement post lending management for the managed credit portfolio
- Complete a variety of administration duties to assist the development of client relationships as well as operations and development of the Department
- Work with members of other departments to produce statistics, initial analysis, reviewing credit lines and various tasks associated with Corporate Banking business
- Liaise with Head Office and domestic network to support the development of the business for the Bank and BOC Group’s existing and target clients
- Conduct and fulfil KYC and KYB compliance requirements, and any other legal and compliance requirements per internal and regulatory policies
Requirements
- Degree educated or higher in Finance or Accounting
- A good understanding of general and structured corporate financing activities as well as general and structured Corporate Banking products and services
- An ability to navigate around and understand a loan agreement and related financial documents
- Solid experience and knowledge of the credit business
- Knowledge of the regulatory and legislative requirements, and industry practice for the Financial Crime disciplines, including AML/CTF, fraud, sanctions and ABC
- Good financial modelling skills
- Proven analytical skills, business judgment and acumen
- Team player with good interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
