Barcelona winger Raphinha has admitted that while the Ballon d’Or crosses his mind, he remains focused on his primary objectives rather than individual accolades.
“It’s normal for it to cross my mind, and if I told you otherwise, I would be lying,” Raphinha stated.
However, he emphasized that his focus remains on scoring goals, creating chances, winning titles, and enjoying football rather than obsessing over the award.
The Brazilian also acknowledged his record-breaking Champions League performances with Barcelona but downplayed the significance.
“I didn’t even know I was so close to reaching those numbers. I found out when I was told, and it was a total surprise… I’m very happy to have achieved it,” he said.
Reflecting on his time at Barcelona, Raphinha expressed immense satisfaction.
“I’m having a great time at Barcelona. I can’t describe it, it’s incredible,” he added.
