About the role:
The postholder will be responsible for coordinating on the delivery of international display and partnership projects as part of the delivery of the Museum’s international strategy.
Key areas of responsibility:
- To develop teams for individual projects and to coordinate appropriate input of relevant stakeholders, within and outside the Museum.
- To develop project specific budgets, schedules, and objectives, and ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget, with risks appropriately managed, to make appropriate reports.
- To manage project administration, including financial records, progress reports and reviews of completed work, and preparing all necessary paperwork for project board.
- To ensure mechanisms and processes are in place to maximize the quality of content and effective delivery of projects within the Museum’s international programme, working with colleagues across the Museum and externally.
- To report on the Museum’s international projects both internally and externally to international partners.
- Maintain all international relationships at the highest possible level and adopt a diplomatic, tactful, and professional approach at all times.
About you:
- Experience of managing public facing projects, involving multi-disciplined teams.
- Experience of project processes
- Experience of delivering exhibition or display projects
- Good facilitator and organiser.
- Excellent team player.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate well at all levels across an organisation – interacting with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to influence people to achieve “buy-in” to a project.
- A sense of tact and diplomacy and the ability to adopt a culturally sensitive approach.
