Bola Ahmed Tinubu was spotted wearing a luxury Patek wristwatch during a recent meeting with Tunde Onakoya, the chess grandmaster who recently set a Guinness World Record for the longest chess marathon.
According to reports, the watch is worth $61,280, approximately ₦94,170,316.80 at the official exchange rate.
However, this luxury item has sparked controversy amid Nigeria’s economic struggles, with many Nigerians questioning the timing and extravagance of such a purchase amidst widespread hardship and financial strain.
Reacting to this, Aghedo remarked, “President of the federal republic of Nigeria.Money when dey this country too long”.
