Galatasaray icon Tanju Çolak has hailed Victor Osimhen as the best player of the season, placing him above ex-Chelsea and current teammate Alvaro Morata.
Osimhen, on loan from Napoli, has been a revelation for the Turkish champions, netting 28 goals and providing five assists in 32 matches across all competitions.
His impact has been central to Galatasaray’s push for a domestic double, including a key role in their 2-1 Turkish Cup win over rivals Fenerbahce.
“There is a squad in Galatasaray that is loyal to Osimhen,” Çolak told habersarikirmizi. “He sets a good example, he scores a lot of goals. Osimhen is the best player of the season.”
The former striker didn’t mince words regarding Morata, who joined Galatasaray from AC Milan in January.
The Spaniard has underwhelmed with just two goals and one assist in five league outings.
“Morata does not score goals, he does not fight. If it were me, I would not buy this guy,” Çolak said.
Osimhen’s red-hot form has reignited interest from top European clubs, including Manchester United, Chelsea, and PSG.
His exit from Napoli this summer appears inevitable, and his performance in the season’s final stretch could define his next move.
