<p><a target="_blank" href="https://gistreel.com/tag/manchester-united"><strong>Manchester United</strong></a> will head into the Europa League quarter-final second leg with work to do after settling for a 2-2 draw against <a target="_blank" href="https://gistreel.com/tag/lyon"><strong>Lyon</strong></a> in France.</p>
<p>The result was largely overshadowed by another shaky display from goalkeeper <a target="_blank" href="https://gistreel.com/tag/andre-onana"><strong>André Onana</strong></a>.</p>
<p>Just 24 hours after publicly asserting that United are “way better” than their opponents, Onana did little to justify the claim.</p>
<p>He fumbled Thiago Almada’s tame kick into the net to hand Lyon the lead.</p>
<p>It was a moment that seemingly validated former United midfielder Nemanja Matic’s pre-match jibe labelling the Cameroonian as <strong>“one of the worst goalkeepers”</strong> in the club’s modern history.</p>
<p>United responded well. Leny Yoro, making only his fifth start, struck just before half-time with his first goal for the club.</p>
<p>In the 88th minute, substitute Joshua Zirkzee looked to have sealed a huge away win, rising at the far post to head in Bruno Fernandes’ cross after a break led by Kobbie Mainoo.</p>
<p>But just as the Red Devils looked set to take a one-goal advantage back to Old Trafford, Onana spilled a low drive from Corentin Tolisso and Rayan Cherki capitalised to slot home the equaliser in stoppage time.</p>
<p>United’s Champions League hopes now hinge on a result in the return leg, with manager Ruben Amorim left to rue what could’ve been a decisive away win.</p>
