Former Nigeria international Obafemi Martins has called on Samuel Chukwueze to leave AC Milan in the upcoming transfer window due to his limited role at the Serie A club.
Chukwueze, 25, joined the Rossoneri from Villarreal in 2023 but has failed to establish himself as a first-team regular.
The winger has managed just four goals in 47 league appearances, often featuring off the bench.
Despite interest from Saudi Arabia last summer, Chukwueze reportedly turned down a move to the Middle East.
However, Martins now believes it may be time for a change.
Speaking to Africa Foot, the former Inter Milan striker said:
“The Saudi Pro League is becoming increasingly competitive. If a good offer comes along, why not?
“The main thing is for him to play and become a regular starter again. Rhythm and confidence are essential for him.”
Martins’ comments come amid growing concerns over Chukwueze’s development, with regular minutes critical for his national team ambitions.
With Milan yet to offer him consistent starts, a summer move could be on the cards.
