Job Description
The Club Development Manager Is responsible for managing all work related to new and remodel club openings. This entails working cross functionally with Real Estate, Design, Construction, Procurement, Marketing, and Operations to ensure we are meeting schedules and desired project completeness. The responsibilities include tracking current and future projects in the pipeline to ensure we are planning appropriate resources, vendor scopes, and 3rd party setup schedules. Additionally, they will be accountable for ensuring all open design and punch list items are closed out appropriately.
Responsibilities (includes but is not limited to):
- Manage a schedule that includes all pipeline projects through completion and closeout.
- Manage and track all 3rd party vendor contracts and service agreements.
- Liaison between construction, Fitness, and Operations to ensure opening schedules are coordinated for hiring staff, equipment deliveries, and outside vendor readiness.
- Manage equipment setup and FF&E install.
- Collaborate on tracking and completing punch lists.
- Create Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to track club openings to ensure continuous improvement.
- Develop new and remodel club opening processes.
- Develop a critical path for new & remodel club openings.
- Liaison with Fitness to ensure IT/AV scopes and readiness align with expectations.
- Oversee warehouse inventories that can be allocated to future clubs.
- Aid the Maintenance teams on special projects.
- Ensure new and remodel openings are 100% closed out 30 days following FDO.
- Provide prototype input for future prototype design improvements.
- Maintain working knowledge of new and remodel opening processes
- Drive continuous improvement, solve problems, and develop sound recommendations
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- BS/BA degree is a plus
- 5 to 7 years of progressive management experience
- Highly motivated, self-starter who manages projects end-to-end and has a demonstrated track record of getting results
- Ability to draw insights from large sets of data, establish facts, and draw conclusions
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Strong presentation and communication (verbal and written) skills.
- Ability to convey complex issues in a simple manner
- Ability to understand the big picture but also focus on critical details
- Ability to effectively balance detail orientation while maintaining accuracy
- Ability to multi-task several important priorities simultaneously
- Ability to work independently on assignments of various levels of complexity
Essential Physical Requirements:
- Able to read, write and speak clearly
- Bending, kneeling and repetitive arm movement
- Standing for long periods of time

- Typing and computer operations
- Ability to lift at least 30lbs
