Position Summary:
The Employment Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and implementing employment marketing strategies to attract, engage, and hire top talent. This role will provide Employment Marketing expertise that can be applied across all locations and roles to deliver increased applicant flow, a solid Employee Value Proposition, and sourcing tactics to effectively fill our openings. The Employment Marketing Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR and Corporate Communications to increase our employer brand awareness and help to establish Ventura Foods as an Employer of Choice across geographies.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Leverage the Ventura Edge and Employee Value Proposition (EVP) to refresh, build and maintain a compelling employer brand that highlights Ventura Foods as an employer of choice (i.e. company culture, Total Rewards offerings, Learning and Development opportunities, etc.). Refresh EVP and sustain location-specific EVP work, ensure it is brought to life in all relevant public forums (job postings, websites, social media, etc.)
- Manage platforms such as Indeed, ZipRecruiter, Ventura Foods’ career site and other job advertising platforms to optimize spend, leverage new features and functionality, and provide training to internal users.
- Create and execute strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates for specialized roles via a variety of grassroots efforts, local trade schools/apprenticeship programs, local work programs, career fairs, search-engine-optimized job postings and industry events.
- Build ad-hoc, customized employment marketing plans for individual manufacturing sites based on applicant flow, local markets, budgets, and staffing goals with a focus on frontline talent.
- Develop engaging content such as virtual/video job descriptions, employee testimonials, social media posts, informational videos, and infographics to promote our employment brand and current job openings across locations.
- Create reporting and analytics that track and analyze the effectiveness of recruitment marketing campaigns, programs, and initiatives; Make decisions, optimize strategies, and improve ROI using insights derived from reporting.
- Own and manage Ventura Foods’ employer reputation in the market to increase candidate interest (highlight company ratings, best places to work designations, etc.).
- Implement candidate engagement strategies, including email marketing, using talent pools/CRM capabilities, nurture campaigns, and social media engagement.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- 7+ years’ experience in Talent Acquisition/Employment Marketing, Communications and/or HR.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Marketing, Communications, Business or related field
- Demonstrated experience in setting up, tracking, and measuring successful recruitment campaigns across a variety of channels.
- Experience developing and managing employment marketing and job advertising budgets.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Solid knowledge and expertise across a variety of employment marketing tactics, candidate engagement and reengagement, and creating strategies for hard-to-fill roles.
- Strong knowledge of digital marketing, social media, and content creation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Data-driven mindset with proficiency in analytics tools.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Creativity and a passion for marketing and talent acquisition.

Salary Base Range of $100,000 – $120,000 for Employees Located in California
The “base salary range” provided above is a good-faith estimate of what we expect to pay for this position. The range provided is for California-based employees, as Ventura Foods is required by California State Law to post pay rates. Ventura Foods reserves the right to pay outside of the given range based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to candidate skills and experience, complexity of the job, budgetary factors, and location/geography. Ventura Foods conducts regular reviews of compensation ranges and reserves the right to alter this range at any given time.
