About the role
This is a fantastic opportunity to join our marketing team, specifically supporting the University of Sussex Business School. You will play a pivotal role in the delivery of marketing campaigns and projects to increase brand awareness and support student recruitment in UK and international markets.
The postholder will be responsible for supporting the School Marketing Manager in delivering our ambitious marketing plans, including:
- Implementation and evaluation of paid digital campaigns in line with the recruitment cycle
- Liaising with digital, out of home and creative agencies
- Supporting the production of creative content, including video, imagery and copy for CRM, campaign webpages and other digital channels, in line with the University’s brand and messaging guidelines
- Writing and updating copy for the prospectus, webpages and third-party profiles
- Undertake competitor analysis, market scanning and evaluation to support opportunities for new programmes and markets.
About you
You will be an experienced marketing professional with a track record of delivery. You will support the implementation and evaluation of marketing plans, including: digital and offline marketing campaigns; email marketing; copywriting, updating course listings; material to support recruitment events; and attending stakeholder meetings.
The postholder will support market research and evaluation activities including new programme and portfolio development, competitor analysis, surveys and focus groups. You will need to be confident and competent in using Excel and other analysis tools.
You will be highly organised, approachable and confident, with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals including academic colleagues, prospective students, senior managers and the communications teams.
