Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has acknowledged that his team is overly dependent on Cole Palmer, as the midfielder experiences a dip in form.
Palmer, who has been a standout performer since joining from Manchester City, has struggled recently.
Speaking to the media, Maresca emphasized that while Palmer remains crucial, the team must not rely solely on him.
“The problem is with Cole, we rely on him for everything,” Maresca admitted. “But we need to rely on the team. He is a top player, but we are not worried about him.”
Chelsea have struggled in front of goal and Maresca believes Palmer’s dip in form mirrors the team’s overall struggles.
Palmer is expected to start as Chelsea seek a crucial win against Southampton at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday.
