Several people have reportedly lost their lives, while many others sustained injuries following the collapse of a building in the Ota-Ona area of Ikorodu, Lagos State.
The tragic incident was shared via a post on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) by a user identified as @ChuksEricE.
The post included two videos showing the aftermath of the collapse and some of the casualties.
In the videos, a crowd could be seen gathered at the scene, with many people desperately trying to rescue victims trapped under the rubble.
One of the clips captured a victim being pulled out and carried away for urgent medical attention.
According to the caption accompanying the videos, several individuals died as a result of the building collapse.
As the news spread online, concerned users flooded the comment section to express their shock and sympathies.
