Linnworks is seeking a highly motivated and talented Manager or Digital and Wensite to join our growing marketing team. The person in this role will be responsible for all aspects of our digital presence, the centerpiece of which is our website.
Reporting to the Sr Director, Growth Marketing, you will provide leadership and strategic guidance in planning, optimizing, and directing the design, functionality, and overall effectiveness of our global web presence. As a marketing leader, you will manage a team focused on paid and organic drivers to position the company and its products, across the digital ecosystem; driving awareness, increasing demand, and improving conversions.
The ideal candidate will have experience overseeing end-to-end website development, addressing strategy, design, architecture, systems integration, along with digital best practices. This includes a strong understanding of chat, search engine optimization, paid traffic drivers and analytics. This role requires excellent skills, flexibility, attention to detail, organization, and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
This position is open to candidates living in the UK. You must be able to work without sponsorship for any UK employer.
In this role you will:
- Lead, drive and implement a comprehensive web strategy for our website and associated digital channels (SEO, Chat). Work cross-functionally across marketing and other stakeholders to optimize the overall website experience.
- Oversee the integration of third-party tools, APIs, and platforms to enhance website functionality and user experience.
- Develop, test, scale and manage web and online strategies to drive qualified traffic, engagement, and activity throughout the prospect/customer funnel.
- Identify opportunities for website improvement based on user feedback and performance metrics.
- Manage our SEO strategy with our in-house SEO analyst and the content team.
- Respond to and troubleshoot website issues.
- Manage website content, features and functionality including optimizing current site, adding and editing content.
- Work with WordPress developers as needed to prioritize projects & initiatives to align with the business goals.
- Improve onsite conversions and identify, build and execute on A/B and multivariate tests. Analyze and evaluate A/B tests, report on results, and recommend next steps.
- Build out website personalization, custom website experiences and user journeys via personalization tool/technology, ABM tools and chat.
- Develop a holistic view of the online/digital customer journey, and apply data and insights to inform the development of a website experience that engages and converts.
- Provide digital analytic reports that contribute meaningful analysis and actionable insights.
- Stay up to date with industry best practices and monitor competitor websites. Embrace technological advancements and anticipate industry trends.
What you’ll need:
- 7+ years of experience with website development and optimization with direct ownership of a website(s)
- 5+ years of experience with SEO, paid and other website traffic drivers
- Expert knowledge of WordPress
- Experience with building out a best in class website with dynamic and interactive content, personalization and willingness to adapt new strategies including AI, intent data signals and custom user playbooks
- Outstanding analytical abilities with experience in Google Analytics Suite including GA4 and Google Tag Manager
- Has some knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and backend revisions/improvements
- Project management skills and an understanding of how to manage the priorities of multiple stakeholders
- Proficiency with SEO tools (e.g. Google Search Console, SEMRush, Screaming Frog) and A/B testing solutions as well as site testing technologies (Crazy Egg, VWO, Optimizely, Google Optimize, Hotjar)
- Has writing skills to update and optimize content a plus
- Experience in both US and UK markets a plus
