A Nigerian man has set social media abuzz after revealing he won a whopping ₦120 million from a $10,000 bet placed on Arsenal to defeat Real Madrid in the UCL quarter-final.
The man, identified as @MrBayoai on X (formerly Twitter), shared the exciting update on his page, adding that he’s giving away 10 brand new laptops to mark the win.
Gistreel had earlier reported that @MrBayoai openly declared his intention to stake a large sum on Arsenal to beat Real Madrid.
His post drew attention, prompting several individuals to challenge his prediction by betting against Arsenal, backing Madrid instead.
While many placed smaller bets ranging from a few dollars to $10,000, he stood firm on his choice.
The much-anticipated match kicked off at 8:00 PM. Both teams went goalless in the first half, but Arsenal came alive in the second half, scoring three goals, while Real Madrid failed to find the back of the net.
Shortly after the final whistle, @MrBayoai returned to X to celebrate his win, revealing he bagged a total of ₦120 million from the bet.
