A young Ghanaian man has sparked conversations online after reversing a 50 cedes (N5K) transfer to a lady who belittled the amount he sent to her for food.
According to a chat circulating on social media, the lady had reached out to the man, lamenting that she had only had tea all day and was hungry.
“I still haven’t eaten anything proper fr. I just drank tea…I’m not even lying…but it’s funny,” she pleaded in the chat.
Moved by her plight, the man sent her 50 Ghana cedes, approximately 5,000 Nigerian naira hoping to get gratitude in return.
However, instead of thanking him for the gift, the lady complained that the amount was too small, stating she expected at least 150 cedis.
“I’m so sorry about this but I wouldn’t get any proper food to buy at 50 cedis. I should have told you…unless 80 and above. That’s why I said campus is expensive and especially my hostel. I’m sorry, thought you will send like 100 or 150,” she lamented.
Offended by her reaction, the man contacted his bank to reverse the transfer and his request was granted.

The incident has sparked debates online, with many applauding the man for taking back the money by refusing to encourage her entitlement mentality.
