A man who has been identified as a financial expert has expressed concern about how loaves of bread are now sold in halves at the supermarkets due to economic hardship.

According to the man, the bread was being sold in halves in order to allow people who cannot afford the whole loaf of bread to afford due to economic hardship.

The young man took to his Twitter page to describe the incident as shameful and painful.

He wrote on X: “This is sachet bread, sold in 234.

“Omo, this is shameful and painful at the same time

“I commend the bakery for thinking outside the box. I weep for the eviscerated middle class.

“If bread is sold in slices and spaghetti in bundles, then the poverty smells like a two weeks dead goat in a beautiful mansion

God help you because that’s where your only help will come from.”
