

A 43-year-old man known as Kazeem from the Edun area of Ilorin, Kwara State, has tragically died after jumping into a domestic well while under the influence of a substance called ‘Colo’ (Colorado).
According to Leadership-NG – the incident occurred shortly after Kazeem returned from Eid prayers on Friday morning. Emergency responders from the Kwara State Fire Service were alerted to the situation and promptly rushed to the scene.
As per the Fire Service spokesperson, Hassan Adekunle, the distress call was received at around 10:29 a.m., reporting that a man had fallen into a well at Alapo compound in Edun, Ilorin.
Firefighters were immediately dispatched and successfully recovered Kazeem’s lifeless body from the well.
Kazeem was reportedly intoxicated by the drug ‘Colo’ at the time of the incident. His body was handed over to the local police station for further investigation and awaiting formal identification and claim by family members.
