A Nigerian man has raised alarm after police officers allegedly attempted to arrest him at his home without a warrant, with one officer reportedly removing his name tag and badge to conceal his identity.
This was revealed in a video shared on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter).
In the footage, officers are seen demanding the man open his door and step outside.
The man refuses, questioning their actions and pointing out that one officer had torn off his badge.
He can be heard saying: “Your colleague removed his badge. Why would he tear off his badge? Show your face. Tell me where you’re taking me. You tore your badge and you call yourself police. Where is your search warrant?”
Despite his repeated demands for a valid reason for their presence, the officers failed to provide one and allegedly attempted to force his door open.
As the video circulated online, concerned individuals took to the comment section to express their reactions.
