The Role
At this time we are looking to recruit highly motivated candidates that will be joining our MAINTROL team within the Engineering organisation. Our MAINTROL engineers support the whole BA Mainline fleet as well as the BA Euroflyer fleet. The successful candidates will be offered a position in our Integrated Operations Centre (IOC), based at the BA HQ in Waterside (Heathrow airport).
Based in the BA IOC, Maintrol is the key team that provides 24/7 engineering coordination and management for the whole operating fleet world-wide, leading professionals (internal and external suppliers), liaising directly with operating crews, Global Operations, Ramp / Line Maintenance, Aircraft Maintenance production areas and 3rd party service providers to ensure a safe, reliable and consistent operation. Maintrol is at the very heart of the BA Engineering Operations and provides a great exposure to almost all activities within BA operations.
All Maintrol engineers are responsible for leading the Engineering activities to prevent and/or recover AOGs worldwide, driving safe, efficient and expedient actions in support of Engineering and Airline operational needs.
We are looking for licence engineers who have experience in aircraft maintenance (as a B1/B2 license holder) or within experience in Maintrol Control Centres within Operational environments.
The candidate will need to have an Engineering technical background as a license engineer with the ability to hold CAA / EASA approvals and BA company approvals, hold an HNC / HND or equivalent in an Aerospace Engineering subject, recognised Aircraft Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent industry experience, B1 / B2 Licence without Type rating, the ability to hold and exercise EASA. Part 145 Technical Engineer / Part21 CCE or CVE approvals will also be a qualification to highly consider for the role.
