A Nigerian lady has sparked a debate online after mocking “broke men” in a post celebrating the one-year anniversary of her purchase of a ₦600,000 Firman generator.
In the post, shared on Facebook, she highlighted the benefits of dating a wealthy man, contrasting it with the struggles of being with a poor man.

She claimed that while a poor man has little to offer, a rich man provides a more comfortable lifestyle.
She wrote:
“This year marks one year since I bought my big Firman generator. My old one lasted five years, making it two generators in my house now.”
“Life is so much easier—I always have 25 liters of fuel, and I never lack power supply. This is what happens when you marry a rich man. Your life becomes easy. You won’t age or get wrinkles before your time.”
She continued:
“Poor men with rusty iron tools don’t even know what a generator is, let alone having ₦600,000 to buy a bigger one. They’re still living with their girlfriends in someone else’s house or in a hot room. They’ll keep struggling until they suffer the consequences.”
As the post went viral, many online users flooded the comments section, sharing their thoughts on her bold statement.
