Job description: About the Role: We are looking for an experienced Key Account Manager (f/m/d) to join our Aerospace and Defense EMEA sales team. This person will be responsible for identifying and developing new business delivering profitable revenue with strategic and key customers with a prime focus on UK. Aerospace and Defense market and sales experience, teamwork, working successfully with other functions including Product Managers, Applications Engineers, Strategic and Sales partners will be critical to the success in this commitment.
This is a remote position, and you can work from your home office in most locations within UK.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and support Key and Strategic accounts in UK with sales of current and future Aerospace and Defense product portfolio
- Develop strong relationships with customer leadership and decision makers, including key technology and buying influencers
- Identify revenue growth opportunities and develop and implement sales strategies to progress these opportunities to close/won status
- Delivering an excellent customer experience
- Own and execute the territory sales plan in alignment with Regional Sales leader and refine and update as appropriate
- Drive and deliver year on year profitable revenue growth
- Support the forecasting process and maintaining an evergreen line of sight for the strategic and key accounts in Salesforce
- Conduct thorough pre-call planning with relevant members of the account team
- Conduct regular customer business reviews
- Identify and quantify sources of value provided by Gore
Required Qualifications:
- 3-5 years proven experience selling high value products in UK, working with major local Tiers suppliers and OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers)
- Minimum of 3 years of account management, complex selling and new accounts and business development experience
- Proven track record of hitting and exceeding revenue targets
- Strong technical sales capabilities
- Demonstrated ability to interact effectively and influence all functions of an organisation
- Time management, ability to prioritize sales and project activities with strong organisational skills
- Demonstrated strategic thinker and planner with an emphasis on delivering both profitable revenue but also an excellent customer experience
- Appreciation for cultural differences with a demonstrated ability to work effectively across multiple cultures, languages, and countries
- Proficient in the use of CRM systems like Salesforce
- UK based (ideally central or southern) with ability to travel (up to 50%) mainly in UK, valid driving license
Desired Qualifications:
- Aerospace & Defense Market knowledge and selling experience
- Bachelor- level technical, science or engineering degree
- Knowledge and experience of cables, components and sealants used in Aerospace applications
