Inter continued their fine run at the top of Serie A with a 2-0 win over Empoli at the San Siro stadium on Monday night.
Goals from Federico Dimarco and Alexis Sanchez, ensured the Italian giants picked all three points.
Dimarco wasted no time making impact in the game, as he drove home a strike from the edge of the box to open scoring just six minutes into the game.
Inter’s attacking front came prepared, and continued to mount pressure on their opponents throughout the match.
Despite Empoli’s efforts to contain them, Inter remained unyielding, and were rewarded with a second goal in the second half.
Denzel Dumfries’s quick run down the right flank created an opportunity for Sanchez, who calmly tapped the ball into the net from close range to seal Inter’s win.
The win means that Inter maintain their 14-point lead at the top of the Serie A table, and are favourites for the title.
