We are hiring a new Hospitality Supervisor to work with us in the Hospitality and Catering department. This is a new post, that involves working directly with our tutors, technicians and learners.
Our Hospitality and Catering department is based at Infirmary road, you will mainly stay at this site, unless the department is involved in events off site. The hours for this post are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 9:30am – 15:30pm and Thursday 15:00pm – 21:30pm as on a Thursday evening we open the College restaurant – Taste.
The role’s main responsibilities are to supervise the Catering and Hospitality learners who run different outlets across the College. This will include, but is not limited to:
- Opening and closing down the outlets
- Supervising learners
- Supporting the safe running of the outlets
- Running the bar and servicing the floor to ensure learners remain safe in a busy restaurant environment on a Thursday evening
- Ensuing paperwork for H&S is completed
- Cleaning outlets to ensure we remain safe if an EH visit was to take place
- Developing and supporting learner knowledge of safe practices and EH guidelines
- Helping with cashing up and taking the money to finance to ensure finances stay safe

To do well in this job, you should have experience of working in industry, in customer service, hospitality, front of house and catering. Ideally you will also have some experience of supervising.
